Tempting as a day in pajamas always is, I decided to get dressed instead and have an outfit to show you.
Today was supposed to be green in colored tights week, but Iris and I agreed to push it to tomorrow. I wasn't going to ignore a perfectly wonderful pair of purple sweater tights on a day like today though!!
It also seemed like the perfect day to show off my vintage cape which was gifted to me by a family member.
I got a little creative and turned my fur collar into a hat.

On days like these I kind of wish I had a photographer. I adore getting wonderful snowy photographs, but the AF gets confused sometimes with all the falling snow - not to mention my poor camera getting wet!Cape Vintage - Dress Macys - Tights Gap - Boots Pajar - Belt Steve Madden - Scarf Gift - "Hat" Thrifted fur collar - Gloves Gift
Just in case you were wondering how deep the snow was...
If you had a snow day today, I hope it was a good one! And did you fall victim to any online shopping?
I'm really tempted by this cardigan at Express for $24 ($32 after shipping). Do you think it's a lust, or a must?
Oh my gosh, that dog is a sweetheart! :D
ReplyDeleteThe purple tights are really pretty, especially with that scarf. Looks really cozy, too!
You look so beautiful in the snow! I love the layers. I'm pretty jealous of snow days too...

I really love this look on you, and the purple tights are really neat! I think the cardigan is a must ... I just wish you and Iris had notified me that you pushed the green tights off to tomorrow :(
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit I think it was perfect for the snow!
ReplyDeleteThe cardi seems more like a lust item since I feel like you have similar pieces.
YAY SNOW! Sadly I had to stay inside and work, but at least I could work in my pjs! Definitely going to have to play in the snow this weekend, its at least 2 feet high, haha
ReplyDeleteI'm liking that cardigan! But I'm cheap so I wouldn't want to pay $32 on it, haha.

THIS is my FAVORITE ONE YET!!! The snow falling gently, the amazing purple and the HAT/Collar turned to HAT. Total Narnian dream, Lyddie. Love it!!

I would be your photographer... but I'm too far away. I love the way you repurposed your fur collar. I've always wanted a hat like that! Your outfit looks so comfortable and cozy! Lucky you, I felt frozen all day!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the wish-I-had-a-photographer-sometimes thing! It was snowing yesterday when I took photos, and it was so annoying! So many of them were out of focus due to the falling snow. Oh well...at least it looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with your fur collar, by the way! So fun!
We definitely didn't get that much snow. Your picture are beautiful. Way to look stunning and dramatic on your day off.
ReplyDeleteAs for the cardigan, I'd say get it if you can picture it in at least 4 different outfits!
Need to get that iPhone app now. IT IS AMAZING. And your pictures are lovely-- I love the one of the bird house all covered in snnaaoowww! <3
ReplyDeleteYour purple tights look nice and cozy on such a cold day, especially compared to some normal ones. :D Cute cute hat, Miss Lyddiee!
Looks like the weather we've had here all day! Great snow style! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, that snow looks serious but you look great in those colours. And your pooch is cho sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love how your hair looks with the snow! And the cute puppy! Also I totally thought that was a vintage fur hat! I think that cardi is a lust =) don't you already have some similar to it? If not, why don't you go to the store instead of buying online? That's what I usually do to skip the shipping.
ReplyDeleteCAPE! I just got a similar one. And I can't believe the snow up there is one lapdog high! Is your pooch part poodle perchance?
ReplyDeleteYou look so warm and stylish!:D
ReplyDeleteI like the cape and the purple tights.:D

You saw the BCBG wrap I bought at the GW for 5.49. I think you can find a thrifted cardigan (or even a vintage sweater from an estate sale) for much less, and you'll appreciate it that much more. Anyone can shop at Express, and by the look of your glamorous outfit in these pics (and every pic for that matter), you're definitely an original with such beautiful style. I say pass, but it is lovely. : )
ReplyDeleteOmg how much snow is that???!!!! :D wow, here in rome it's almost getting warmer! i am looking forward for summer, going to visit US for the first time. sooo excited!
ReplyDeleteWowzers, I can't believe how much snow you have! And that is a perfect winter outfit. Enjoy the snow.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfectly perfect winter outfit :)

Why in the world do you have to make me start thinking that snow isn't that bad?! These photos are gorgeous, your outfit is perfection, puppy is darling, ... !
ReplyDeleteI still want to hate snow.
Fantastic photos, I wish it snowed where I am, but alas it is the middle of summer. Crazy backwards country.
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of loving all the snow - and the day off yesterday wasn't terrible either! And I really like the cardigan, I think the price is good and it looks like it would be a versatile piece (I'm also from the "you can't have too many cardigans" school of thought).

ReplyDeleteThat is a fun drapy cardi - do you have anything like it already?
The snow sure makes for fabulous photos...and the purple looks beautiful against it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful! I love the contrast of the purple against the white snowy background and that cape is fantastic!!!

Your snow pictures are so pretty! It's hard to resist the temptation to sit around in my pajamas all day when I'm snowed in, so I'm super impressed with your snow day outfit! And purple sweater tights? I had no idea such a thing even existed!
ReplyDeleteYou look totally cute in that outfit! The purple tights are lovely and your cape is great. The snow looks great wish ours got that thick!

ReplyDeleteYOU ARE BRAVE!
ReplyDeleteI would not have gone out there if you paid me!
Well, it actually depends on how much...
I say NO to the cardis, I am certain you do not need them.
Also Chloe does not think you need them.
SHe thinks she needs a cardi.
You look so great! I'm impressed you put "real" clothes on. We had a snow day recently and I lived in my pajamas for two days.
ReplyDeleteSuch magical shots! The pop of purple looks great against such a wintery backdrop...

ReplyDeleteLady you look quite a vision in the snow! Your outfit is out of this world gorgeous! I would never have thought your "hat" was not a hat! Your doggy is super cute!
ReplyDeleteWow, you did get blizzarded! Not a word, but I shall make you a verb, blizzard. So there, by decree! Hmm. can you tell someone has cabin fever? And it's only early January?
ReplyDeleteI am loving this bright tights challenge. I should have joined, for that's pretty much what I wore all week, too!
