Everything just seems so much harder to do when it's cold. Outfit photos included. I want to go on a vacation to somewhere warm and tropical. Actually, first I want to buy that $700 wide angle lens for my camera I've been pining for, then I want to go on vacation. I want to see bright orange sunsets fade into purple, framed by the silhouettes of palm trees. I want to dig my bare toes into the white sand of a warm beach. I want to be on a boat in the sea, where the cool breezes are welcome feeling, whipping the heat of the sun off my forehead.
Snow is very pretty and snow is very nice, but looking at it is just making me sad. I've had my fill. On the plus side, only THREE more weeks until daylight savings time, which means I only have to take outfit photos on the weekends two more times.
In sort of a mini theme week, three of my outfits are inspired by my dreams of a tropical getaway, the sun, the surf and the sand. So look for those Tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Congratulations to Anne from The cohabitating closet, the winner of the Shabby Apple Giveaway!
Love all of the outfits! I'm stalking those seychelles. I saw them have them in natural. They are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese jeans are such a good color and fit for you that you could wear them all month and I doubt the weatherman would be mad at you for rebelling. Each look is so different! But I hope it warms up, though I am annoyed that it's warm here because I love to layer...
ReplyDeleteYou rock the heck outta jeans lady!
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard sweater.
ReplyDeleteI love how all these looks incorporate the same pants and yet are totally different!

Ah, you got more snow? I haven't seen any in years...:(
ReplyDeleteYour outfits look awesome, and I especially like the leopard print. :D
All your outfits look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love the Calvin Klein sweater! And I know, it sleeted here today...I thought it was supposed to be in the 50s all week! I guess not. Surely spring will be here soon!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go on a warm vacation right now!
ReplyDeleteI really like the red scarf in the first picture :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that it's so cold over there... I wish you could send some of that cold my way because where I live is WAY to hot! So we seem to have opposite problems... hehe
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in all three outfits. I always feel so inspired and happy when I see what you have pulled together. The bright red scarf of the first outfit looks so pretty. I love the hat paired with the leopard print in the second outfit. And the white coat you are wearing in the third outfit looks so sophisticated on you. Good job!

Love your casual weekend style...those red booties are killer!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed the winter makes everything more miserable and unbearable. On the other hand you look fantastic in jeans which is a plus for the horrid weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the third outfit the best, so classic and cool.
ReplyDeleteLove that leopard sweater Lyddie! xo
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the endless cold! And I have worn the same jeans all 3 days this weekend too :)
ReplyDeleteThe scarf in your first outfit is beautiful, and I love the colors in your last outfit.
Come to NZ for a holiday. Its warm and sunny and not a snowflake in sight.
ReplyDeleteHaha your weekends outfits are better than mine...Most of the time it was pjs except the 2 times I went shopping...then I just threw on jeans and a sweater
ReplyDeleteand yes...I need a nice vacation too... *sigh*

I love the last outfit. Wearing yellow when it's cold outside is a great way to say "In your face cold weather" LOL
ReplyDeleteWrite it in Lipstick
I, too, am so over over over this winter. It's not even the end of February, so I've probably got another month and a half to go yet. Or more. I'm tired of wearing my snow boots and carting my good shoes everywhere. I'm tired of my lenses (eyeglasses and camera) fogging up whenever I walk inside. I'm tired of scraping off my windshield. I'm tired of slipping and falling. I'm tired of being cold and wet.
ReplyDeleteEnough of my rant. Can't wait for your vacation dream-inspired outfits!
all the things you want to do- I want to do too! and why is it that lenses are so expensive and never really go on sale?! :D yes I would loveee to dig my feet in warm sand right now! love the white jacket you are wearing
