I got to join the lovely Megan, Courtney and Christine for breakfast nachos, eggs benedict, and mimosas - so yummy!
Next we headed over to the beach for some outfit photos, even though the wind was strong and the cold was brutal - and we almost lost Meg's camera to the beach sand (a terrible fate I know all too well) - we still managed to get some fabulous outfit photos, while maintaining the veneer that it was actually a pleasant warm day at the beach, and that sand was not being blown into our faces.

And then, we finally went shopping!
First we headed to Plato's Closet, because Meg and I had never been. There were a few things which piqued my interest, including a pair of Hunter rain boots for $30. Ultimately I decided to pass because they were bright yellow. Not that I have anything against bright yellow, but I just wasn't sure I wanted it in a rain boot. It's like when I made the mistake of buying bright red patent pumps and was continually called Dorothy.
We then continued on to Marshall's, and while the others found some lovely treasures, I still remained empty handed. (But no worries, I did manage to spend the rest of my February budget today.)

My first blogger meet-up eludes me though I've been added to a local mailing list now. Would love to have bloggers to drink mimosas with. I love the cup holder she made.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day! So nice you could be at the beach.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely bunch of ladies :) sounds like a fun time. I wish I lived closer to you guys (and wasnt so terrified of driving on the highway) so I could hang. Oh well, I will live vicariously through these photos.
ReplyDeleteOh man, it must be so nice to have a network of blogger friends to take your pics. I'm usually begging my husband, sister, a work colleague, and today I had to ask a total stranger on the street because I didn't have alternative. I think it's time to buy a tripod and a remote control and regain some dignity. ;)
