Summer scarf

Sometimes a scarf is just what you need to turn a couple of plain closet staples like a navy maxi skirt and a white tee into an outfit.

The summer scarf is an often neglected accessory, since even in a light cotton, it's mostly too hot to want anything at all around your neck during the summer months.

Still, I rather like this striped one I stole it from my Sister my Sister gave me. There will always be some cool summer evenings when it is just the perfect thing.

    I LOVE scarfs all year round, though I have to admit I do also neglect the Summer scarf. That striped one is So cute, and it looks perfect with the maxi and tee!

    You're right, I love what the scarf adds to that outfit, it's more sophisticated somehow. I love having a scarf in (or on) my bag so I don't freeze in those overly AC'ed buildings--it's such a lifesaver!

    I love summer weight scarves. My faves are from Banana Republic. This stripes of this one look great with your navy and white and red bag. Great, classic combo! Love it! (Love your cute little dog, too :)

    What a nice sister to, er, give you this scarf! I hear ya. I have a billion summer scarves, all sitting lonely waiting for any indication of cool weather to be able to pull them out.     I completely agree. I never used to wear scarfs before I started blogging but now I cant seem to stay away from them. They really add a nice punch to any outfit (even if its a little too hot to necessitate wearing them)

    Your dog is so cute! She looks so mellow in these photos - my dog is always running around and trying to give me kisses whenever he gets included in my outfit photos :)

    Love the scarf - it really is the perfect touch for this outfit. Also, it has made me aware that though I have about twelve striped shirts/dresses/skirts, I do not have a striped scarf, and now I need one.

    The paneling on the top of the skirt is unusual, I dig it - it's super flattering. Love how you just "threw" on that scarf..and of course, love Chloe in all of her laziness! Just lounging :) So cute!
