The summer

I can't shake the feeling that I'm still waiting for summer to begin, and yet here it is, mid August, starting to end. Over night temperatures dipping down into the 40's, Fall fashion everywhere I turn, what is going on? This is only the second time I've worn this dress! I can't take outfit photos after 7pm!
The change of seasons can be so cruel.

    Red is stunning on you! I can't believe how fast the summer went. It was 55 degrees this morning and it really felt like fall which I'm not too happy about. :(

    Yep, it's sad that summer is on it's way out. Usually when I leave my parents at 8 on Thursdays it's still perfectly light, it was dark yesterday...NOOO!!!!

    I don't know what happened to summer... although it's still holding in the mid-60s at night here.

    I'm starting to think that fashion week will be a sweltering mess again. Ugh!

    I think you could do this dress for fall! It's such a brilliant color.

    I have the same feelings!!! My kids started school yesterday. It seems like they just got out! I don't want to say goodbye to summer!!! I don't even miss my boots/tights/coats yet enough for this. I adore this dress on you Lydia. The zipper, the texture, the color--all perfect on you!

    I know, I was so excited about dress weather and then it was gone. I couldn't believe. I'm still waiting and hoping that I will have a chance to wear my dresses, because at the moment it's gloomy, windy and doesn't look at all like summer.

    It must be true that opposites attract, because I admire you and your style so much but we are so different :) These last days of summer are some of my favourites of the year... the cool morning air and sunsets when I'm still outside, sweaters at night... what can I say, I'm a fall girl at heart :) It is a shame you've only had two chances to wear this dress, though, because it's gorgeous on you!

    It got suddenly cool today, so I feel ya! But I'm not going to complain because 70 degrees here is much better than the usual 90 or 95 we're battered with in the summer. But 40 degrees at night? That's ridiculous! I hope you can get some kind of taste of summer soon, Miss Lyddie!

    This dress might be my favorite dress of yours. That color is stunning on you (is this the orange one that photographs red?). I love your anchor belt with it, too. You're lookin' like one stylish pirate lady!
