I need to work harder at cutting back, and more importantly, avoiding the temptation, because when a wool coat, made in Italy, is there in my size for TEN DOLLARS! I simply have to take her home.
I'm pretty sure I 'needed' a neutral winter coat anyway. Plus, it's got a hood.

I want to come thrifting where you live! There are some good second hand stores in Vancouver but the best ones focus on designer clothes so, while you can find great things that are less expensive than they would if bought new, they're not exactly budget friendly. There are definitely no Italian-made wool coats priced at $10 hiding anywhere nearby - what a lucky find! And your little feathre necklace is too cute :)

i used to thrift a few days a week, and it sure does add up. now when i go, i might still get a lot, but i just dont' go as much!!
ReplyDeleteThey all sound like legitimate NEEDS to me! ;)
ReplyDeleteA hood? Definitely legitimate. I love your stripes! I find myself in the same predicaments when thrifting. It's hard not to get carried away when the prices are so low and you might never find another piece like the one in your hands!
ReplyDeletelove the plaid scarf and stripes! i can't believe you found a $10 wool coat! what a deal!
ReplyDeletecute & little
Totally get you. It's difficult to pass up such a great deal. And you forget that small numbers can add up too. But I'm sure that coat was worth it!
ReplyDeleteYou look Great here. A wool coat with a hoodie for $10, what a BUY!!! I do not know anyone who would pass that up, except me. I live in SFla and I would not have any reason to wear it. So, Enjoy your great buy!
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm pretty sure you need all that stuff. But I sympathize; cutting back on thrifting is hard but all the small numbers do add up!

Ohhh the colors of the bag is amazing, such a beautiful hue of burgundy:-) and your tartan scarf is lovely:-)!!! Happy weekend:-)
ReplyDeleteLast yeari had a serious case of "buy all the things" at Goodwill. Thrifting can be so great, but I ended up with a bunch of clothes I only wore once :( I love this coat and it definitely would have been really hard to pass up!
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of thrifting my dear. Can I please join you on a trip some time?
ReplyDeleteI know numbers add up, but if you're getting items that make sense in your wardrobe, it's all good!

I wish I had your thrifting skills! A $10 coat is amazing! I have a hard time saying no to sale items so I really have a problem because even though they are a lot cheaper than retail price I'm still spending $15 to $20 on tops and such which really adds up!

ReplyDeleteAwesome style ;) kisses
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world!! Sometimes it's soooo hard to not get carried away! I make sure that the quality of what I'm buying is great and that I don't already have something like it in my wardrobe (aka buying another black shirt when I have one or two already at home). Or if I must have it, I decided to get rid of another one I have at home :)
ReplyDeleteThis look is so perfect! Love the striped sweater and all your layers. And I've definitely fallen into that type of thrifting cycle where I almost forget that 'oh these purchases all add up!'
ReplyDeleteWell, if you're getting amazing pieces like this, there's nothing wrong with doing a bit of thrifting, haha. I also love your tartan scarf! /Madison
ReplyDeleteTotally get the temptation, that's a great coat! :)
ReplyDeleteThe coat is pretty fabulous! What a great find for $10. I just don't have the patience to thrift. I wish I did, though, I'm always so jealous of gals who find steals like these.
