I wanted to wear my red blazer, but the sleeves are three quarter and the lace sleeves of the blouse can't be cuffed so they looked silly sticking out. I tried a few other blouses, but then went back to this one and changed to the leather jacket.
Now if only I could have thought of this outfit first.

I think this translates super well on camera. However, I have an entire folder of images of outfits that just do NOT photograph well. It's frustrating but it happens.
ReplyDeleteThis happens to me all the time! Glad I am not the only one, but I love how this turned out. Those heels are great!

I think this happens to all of us now and then - some, like me, more than others. I tend to run into problems when I'm trying to layer pieces that aren't meant to be layered. I just can't help myself. But then I'm surprised when dress hemlines stick out under skirts and sleeves don't slip seamlessly under sweaters. However you got there, this outfit is pretty much perfect. I am swooning over that blouse. So gorgeous!

It can be frustrating to not be able to recreate a look that you have in your mind/on your Pinterest/from another blog/from a magazine, but it is really nice when the one you end up with works as well as this one! Great lace and leopard!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. That blouse is gorgeous and dresses up the jeans. Lovely. X
ReplyDeleteSwitching up items until I am happy happens to me ALL the time! This turned out so well though! I love the sleeves on your top!

Haha, this story is very recognizable for me, and probably 99% of all women in our culture. I always imagine outfits in my head, but rarely do they ever work out as well as in my imagination. I do love the look you eventually went with ^^ xo
ReplyDeleteYour blouse is STUNNING. I love it. And those shoes! Divine. Le Sigh. I want it all ;)

What a gorgeous outfit this turned out to be. The sleeves on that top are so beautiful. I love it every time you wear those shoes and that leather jacket too.
ReplyDeleteA lot of times outfits I think of do NOT translate that well in real life than they do in my head. I am learning that even more now, with my 30 for 30 challenge.
I Am currently following a few Coach bags on ebay... because of your red one. Bad, bad influence Lydia!
