Together at last

I purchased this scalloped hem blazer and these matching shorts three years ago at H&M, and while I've worn them plenty of times separately, this is the first time I've ever worn them together.

I kind of love that the scalloped hem trend is still just as big (if not bigger) today than it was three years ago. Back then I had to go to NYC and traipse around to three different H&M locations (actually not a huge deal in NYC since there is pretty much one on every street corner) before I found the shorts. They were even a size too big and I had to take them in. Now, not only can you shop H&M online, but scalloped shorts are pretty abundant in every color and print.

    This is one of those outfits that I have fallen head over heels with before the first photo even loads - the blazer! the shorts! the leopard heels! - and yet one that I absolutely know I would never have come up with. Growing up, my mom always worn matching jackets and trousers to work, always one colour head to toe, and I lived in horror of the day that I might wind up dressing that way one day. I really need to get it through my head that suits can look stylish when done correctly. And I think you may officially have me on the path. I cannot begin to express how much I love this look!
