I also caved and bought the Wacoal Halo strapless bra at the recommendation of another blogger, and I will admit, it's the best strapless bra I've yet to wear. I'm not saying it's the most comfortable bra I've ever worn, but I can wear it throughout the day and not have to deal with constantly trying to get it back into place. I also love that it isn't lined, however in my dressing room endeavors this weekend, I did find that even the nude lace will show through some of the more light delicate fabrics. As I've been embracing more styles which require a strapless bra, finding a better one was feeling important. The bottom line for the Wacoal Halo bra is that it's wearable.

Oh that dress is so pretty! I love the ruffle detail and the tie-waist. Also, I hate strapless bras with a passion, so I never wear anything that requires one--sounds like I need to try that one.
ReplyDeleteI think you made a fabulous choice with this summer dress. I'll have to look into that strapless bra.

I found my black one at Spanx, and it's so much better. But I may have to try this Wacoal one!!

That was a such a great find - I'm usually not super into stripes but there's something about the way they're juxtaposed and contrasted against each other here, and that dress has such a nice sense of movement to it.

I purchased that dress a week ago and fell in love with it too. I shot it yesterday and you will probably see it on the blog sometime next week. It is a stunning dress! I love it with the wicker bag, white sandals and gold knotted bracelet for that Nantucket feel. Great styling! I love that it is such a subtle 4th of July kind of dress.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July Lydia!
This looks like the perfect summer midi dress! Love the ruffles and the unique stripes!

That striped dress is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe struggle to find a decent strapless bra is seriously real. I've never yet had a good one in my life, and I don't hold out a lot of hope of finding one in the near future, although I will check out the Wacoal Halo - just in case. Whatever bra you wear, this dress is absolutely lovely and perfect for the fourth of July. I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends!
