Chic on the Cheap started in 2008, with a handbag. It was a turquoise leather bag I'd found at TJMaxx on clearance for $60, and I was so excited about it, I started a blog.
Like so many women, I adore fashion, but have to deal with a budget. I might not have a Chanel bag in my closet, but I do have a vintage Coach bag I thrifted for $10.
I love to shop, and get the most I can for my hard earned money. Thrift stores, clearance racks, TJMaxx, ebay... there is amazing fashion out there if you are willing to put the time and effort into finding it, on the cheap.
Location
I live in Connecticut, as in, close enough to NYC to jump on a train at a moments notice!
My Gear
Over the years I've had a few different cameras and lenses, but presently I'm using a Canon 60D with a 50mm 1.4 lens. I have a Manfrotto tripod and Opteka remote shutter release for when I'm taking my own photos.
