Today I decided to wear my pink dress, that was purchased about three years ago, and that first summer was my favorite dress in the world. We went out together all the time.
We went to the beach...
We got trapped inside the iPhone...
And then we got Proactive's benzoyl peroxide treatment on one of our shoulder straps and were never quite the same again.
Did you know that stuff bleaches clothes? I haven't put it on during the day time since. Now all my PJs and pillow cases get bleached, but I can deal with that.
Anyway, I never could bring myself to get rid of the dress, so today I paired it with a cute short sleeved blazer and my Italian sandals and we were back again.

I'm really tired of not shopping. I want to so badly. There is a 30% off Give and Get coupon for the Gap this weekend. They have a really cute tulip skirt I want. Will I be able to resist?
Why am I not shopping again....?
LOVE the italian sandals ;) I miss the markets in Italy! And the color of your skirt is Fab!
ReplyDeletecheers, Jesa :)
You're not shopping because.. well, I don't know, but it's rather amazing. That dress is very cute on you, I love the color of it. :D AND NOOOO DON'T GET STUCK INSIDE OF iPHONE. They are so hard to get out of. :( : (
ReplyDeleteOoh it looks so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you for sticking to your not shopping, you're doing a way better job than I am...haha....

Looks good! I have a hard time getting rid of clothes too. Even though now most stuff doesn't fit me. It used to be so easy to go through and get rid of things. Once I have replaced all my favorites with wearable sizes, I'll be good!
ReplyDeleteYou are not shopping anymore because you have too many clothes you are starting to sell them and you still have 20 things you haven't worn! hehe just thought I'd answer that, I think you will be able to survive, have you already spent the $80 dollars for the month? Be strong my friend you can do it!
ReplyDeleteby the way cute way to wear your dress!
ReplyDeleteyou are too adorable!!!

You know, I've had that happen )the bleaching that is) as well! Not with Proactive but another treatment...irritating! But the dress looks nice as a skirt! Very inventive!
ReplyDeletesometimes recycling an old favorite is just the anecdote for non-shopping. :)

cute photos!
ReplyDeletecheck out my giveaway!
Great save with the blazer! I have a lovely lavender dress that is similar, with a tiny hole in the skirt. I just wear it anyways, because I love it so much.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of this dress, and it really pops against the black blazer.
ReplyDeleteI've had the same pillow case problem too with various night time face creams - very annoying!
I love that you're sticking with the wearing what you have thing! You can do it :)
ReplyDeletethe pink dress is lovely on you, sometimes its the items that we've had for a long time that look best. x
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous dress! How annoying about the bleach getting on the strap though.
ReplyDeleteAnd about your shopping ban, hang in there!!

Cute -- I'm just loving this "shop from the closet" project!

Gorgeous dress and I love the different ways you have worn it.
ReplyDeleteWay to make your dress work!
ReplyDeleteYou're not shopping because you still have 20 items of clothes you need to go through to decide to keep or giveaway? Good luck!
You are doing so well I could not not shop. Fab dress love the colour on you xoxo
ReplyDeleteyour dress is lovely, the shopping ban must be annoying, but at least you get to wear things you'd forgotten about!

I love the blazer paired with this dress. I know that stuff can stain like the dickens because my husband has stained several of our pillowcases.... I'm glad you were able to salvage the dress!
ReplyDeleteHang in there with the not shopping! You can enter our giveaway, if it'll take the edge off. :)
I love your outfit!
ReplyDeleteFight the urge!!! lol
That is such a pretty picture at the beach. I am guessing it's mom and sis...
ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job with the dress.
I would have liked to see the stain as maybe you could get creative and do something over it.
DO not go shopping, you have done so good so far!
Great sandals, great dress, great save from the stupid benzoyl peroxide (Argh! I hate that stuff!).
ReplyDeleteAnd you can do it! The not shopping, I mean!
Yea, I've been deciding what is best, I'm thinking more like a diet since stopping cold turkey is crazy for me XD...I could eventually get there though...
ReplyDeleteLoving the dress with the blazer and that tulip skirt you want is gorgeous too

This looks super cute! I love it as a skirt. It has great movement.
ReplyDeleteclothed much, a modest fashion blog
yes-just yesterday I accidentally spilled bleach on e dress I've worn once-I felt so dumb for not being more careful---love your sandles.
ReplyDeleteI think the way you paired it for the last outfit is perfect. I hate when I ruin clothes or sheets/pillowcases with a blemish controller. It is so frustrating. I put it on in the morning very carefully and wash my hands after so that I don't transfer it to my clothing.
ReplyDeletegreat sandals - and I love your posts!
ReplyDeleteyou're so lucky that pink looks that awesome on you :)
ReplyDeleteSweet pictures. I also have an iPhone > there isn't a better cell phone than this ;-)

i love this challenge of yours :)
ReplyDeleteLove it as a skirt. You enabler, I'm getting the skirt now (possibly in both colors!) Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeletehave you thought of dying the dress to cover up the bleach spot?
ReplyDeleteOH YOU ROCK THAT DRESS SO HARD. I sometimes think that pink's hard to rock due to you can potentially look like a little kid (but maybe that's just me...) BUT NOT YOU. I love how you make it look so sophisticated and fun! And it looks fun to spin around in...
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't finding old clothes the best? I'm the biggest hoarder for that very reason!

Love this look!! So feminine and pretty...glad you didn't get rid of the dress!
ReplyDeleteAs for not shopping - hang in there!
Btw, thanks for the tip about wearing vests over a dress. Sounds silly, but the thought never even occurred to me!
this is so chic! i love that little jacket with the belt over it with this dress :)

CUte!!! Love it
ReplyDeleteGreat looking jacket paired with the sandals. Perfect
ReplyDeleteGreat save on the dress, I’ve done that type of thing before to hide flaws. P.S. you have such lovely skin, :)
