I know there are some who secretly like to listen to it all year long, but I like to save it -- not before November!
One of my favorite songs is Carol of the Bells, I've got at least a dozen versions of it; a cappella, instrumental, and the lovely synth of Mannheim Steamroller.
For when you want some Christmas music you can really rock out to.
Please click above images for source, they are not my own.
There are so many great Christmas songs, what is your favorite?
Yesterday I failed to mention that it was the start of the No Repeats Challenge, which was created by the Cohabitating Closet and Be Fabulous Daily. To participate, you must agree to not repeat any pieces during the 30 day period. Or to just not repeat any outfits. Since I generally try to never repeat an outfit, what I hope to get out of this is to once again look into my closet for pieces I haven't been wearing and start utilizing them.
Today's bird print top was last seen in September, and this is only the third time I've worn it.

And here is an outerwear shot. Of course You've already seen this coat from Kohl's and these gloves by Antonio Murolo, but I though you'd like to see Chloe's outerwear!
She's wearing a cordory and flannel jacket made by Me!
Love your red accessories and Chloe's jacket! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI've been obsessed with the Glee and Straight No Chaser Christmas albums this season!
One year, I was joking that the Carol of the Bells sounds a little menacing & I wondered where it came from, so my hubbi (the musician) did a bunch of web searches & printed out the history of the song for me :-)
ReplyDeleteI loooooove holiday songs, from funny ones like Adam Sandler's "Hanukkah Song" to classy ones like the Peanuts Christmas special to traditional like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I have bought TONS of CDs & off iTunes. Always looking for new versions.
And I love Chloe's outfit too! I have cats, so there's no dressing *them* up :-)
Lyddie I love the bird print with the pop of red from your scarf, if there's something I like during winter is red! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! And YES LOVE Carol of the Bells! So many good versions :D
ReplyDeleteI don't listen before Thanksgiving, but starting the day after its all day every day :D

My hubby was a Storm trooper in Star Wars-Return of the Jedi, so I love that pic! I'm putting a toy "trooper" in his stocking, but if I had money to burn, I'd buy Ralph Lauren's "trooper" which was featured in Elle Decor.
