Because of schedules and such, I had less than half an hour to get my outfits on photographed. I had done most of my planning the night before but barely accessorized and ended up pulling a few things out of the dirty pile. (whatever, everyone does it!)
It was 14° out today but I swear I didn't even feel it as I raced to get changed into each outfit and get the photos taken.
I know I've said photos in the same exact spot can be boring, but when you already know the exposure and the correct positioning and distance you need to be from the camera, it does allow for speedy shots without the guesswork.
This was based around my thought that these purple patterned tights would look good with the leopard. They are almost zebra-like. I was very smitten with them at the time of purchase, but according to my outfit photos, have only been worn once.

And like most of my outfits this week, you might (okay, you wont but I'll point it out) notice that they are very similar to previous outfits. When in a rush, I tend to go for what I already know.
So here is November 22nd; black skirt, leopard sweater, purple tights.
Yay leopard print! You take all your pictures all at once? How come? Just curious. I suppose if you work a 9-5 day like most people, it would be hard to photograph your outfits because the sun is down when you get home...
ReplyDeleteI almost directly repeated an outfit the other day that I had worn a few months ago. I didn't even think about it for a while, and then I realized that I had worn basically the same exact thing. Ah well. If it's not broke, don't fix it, right?
I love leopard and purple together. And you've totally inspired me to invest in a tripod and remote!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, as usual. I would have had no idea that they were rushed.
ReplyDeleteThose tights are really amazing. Such a cool pattern to them!
I don't think this spot is boring I think it's beautiful! And your shoes are gorgeous girl.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!! I love everything about this look.
ReplyDeleteThose tights are fantastic! I love how subtle the pattern is. :D
ReplyDeleteI love that you were so brave in your mixing and matching choices, I would have never thought to pair those tights and leopard together.
ReplyDeleteLooove it!!!!!! :D The purple goes well with leopard! :D

SO lucky that's its warm, it was so cold in ottawa today the moisture in my breath actually froze my hair in my side ponytail. seriously. (and great sweater!)
ReplyDeleteI think this outfit looks totally different than the one from November. Thank goodness for colored tights. They are totally gonna save me during 30 for 30.
ReplyDeleteI want some animal print in my life.
i love leopard prints! i could use some more animal print clothes. :)

Oh, I love the purple tights with the leopard! Great go-to outfit :)
ReplyDeleteThe leopard and the patterned purple tights are perfection together! I'm digging the booties with the outfit, too.
ReplyDeleteYou remind me of the girl from Glee. I like the leopard print! <3
ReplyDeleteMy camera didn't come with a remote (I asked) so I do the 10 second timer dash too. Only it doesn't snow here, so it's safer! Love the leopard with the purple skirt. Why didn't I think of that combo?
ReplyDeletePurple and leopard look awesome on you. :D And I feel like I've been rewearing my same outfits for the past two weeks, so don't feel bad for getting some inspiration from a past outfit haha! I would have never noticed. ;D
ReplyDeletevery pretty today! always love leopard!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those tights! I'm really impressed at your ability to dress so nice in such cold temps. Our winters never get reallly cold, but even still when cold temps hit I head for bulky layers and such.
ReplyDeletelove this outfit! leopard is always a good choice

Ooh the tulip skirt! Can't wait to get mine!
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard sweater with that skirt, very chic! You always look so pretty :)

Your photos are always beautiful, so you're doing everything right.
ReplyDeleteCute tights and booties. I can't believe you stood outside sans coat in this weather!
I think it's definitely okay to repeat outfits, especially silhouettes! I remember personal silhouette photo collections popping up on The Sartorialist in the past and thinking that I totally have one of those (full skirt, slim(-ish) blouse). You definitely need to wear those tights more often. They go great with the leopard, and the patterns are subtle enough that neither of them compete!
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard print top :-)
ReplyDeleteNice pattern mixing, Lyddie! Don't worry about repeating outfits - I like to see how you creatively restyle items in your wardrobe. And I'm not too ashamed to admit to pulling clothes out of the dirty pile. Life is too busy sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the leopard print sweater and these pictures DO NOT look rushed at all!! xxx

When I'm pressed for time I always revert back to what I know and copy past outfits - I think most people do - but you definitely don't look rushed here, if you hadn't said anything I would never have guessed it.

P.S. I am, predictably, in love with your top.
You look gorgeous - I love the mix of prints and those fabulous earrings!
ReplyDeleteI always take my outfit photos in the same place for that reason - just makes it easier and I don't always have time :)
Those tights are so fun! I probably wouldn't wear them too much just for fear of getting a snag.
ReplyDeleteI only have a couple good spots for outfit photos that don't require me taking a ton of time to seek them out, figure out lighting, etc. Especially in the winter, trudging through the snow and ice here in heels just doesn't seem like a good idea :)
Ooh! Cute tights... love the color matched with the leopard print!
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard sweter!
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard look on you!
ReplyDeletewell it doesnt matter how many times you wear this combo, it always looks good
ReplyDeleteit is a gorgeous spot for photos, so there's no shame in repeats.
ReplyDeleteD'you know, I've ALWAYS wanted to own some leopard print but I've never found anything I truly liked. Also I tend to be quite safe with what I wear and leopard print is quite a bold thing to wear. You've styled it really well! And I think it's fantastic you shoot yourself with camera and remote! I thought someone else took it for you because the shot turned out so nicely.

Love those tights and the top, your gorgeous girl!!!
ReplyDeleteIt still looks good even though you wore something similar before!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to try purple and red together. They really look gorgeous though I never would've thought to pair them together. Thanks!
