This time was much harder for me than the others... because I'm really not a maxi person. I definitely do not possess anything of longer lengths that fits into the realm of casual, so I had to do my best to tone down this purple dress.

do your best? stop it. you look awesome. i love the top knot too! you're hair looks adorable up (and down too). i'm seeing that essie polish everywhere, but saw it here first!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, you look amazing! Your hair goes perfectly with the outfit. And that dress is soo pretty. I love the sheer/net ruffles.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty skirt!! I love the tulle on the bottom, it was so unexpected as I scrolled down. The leather jacket really offsets the flowy, girly skirt well!

aw, this reminds me to wear my maxi dress again soon. I love the back shot!
ReplyDeleteI think you toned down that dress very well! You look awesome!! :D
ReplyDelete(woohoo for Me Too shoes, haha...love that brand...hehe)

ReplyDeleteYou did such a good job with this - I love the mixing of the harder jacket with the super girly maxi, the whole thing just comes together so well!

My favorite part of the outfit? Your incredible top knot!!! It is stellar.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit look amazing! I love the tulle at the bottom of the dress!
ReplyDeleteLovely, I'm not a maxi person either. You did a great mixing feminine and edgy with the motorcycle jacket. I love the 2 tiers on that dress as well.
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks great on you! Why don't you have more maxis? It really works for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to sit this ebew out because I don't own anything longer than knee-length. That surprises me, since I used to have tons of really long skirts.
I love this look on you! It's different that your usual, but it still works. I think the jacket does a nice job of balancing the frill.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the second picture (and the outfit, and the hair). I have a similar jacket that I often throw on to tone down overly girly dresses. I'm showing this to my mom to prove that I'm not the only person who does it. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful; the top knot, the dress, the jacket, I could go on...:)
ReplyDeleteCrikey Malone! That purple skirt is something else. It looks like it's from a fairytale! I have exactly 1 long dress and it's plain black... Maybe I can muster something interesting up for tomorrow...
ReplyDeletelooking diva!! :) i like the end part of the dress the most :D
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to tone it down - it's a great length on you!

much love.
These pictures are sooo light and beautiful! LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteThis round was hard for me too, since I'm not great at styling maxis. That skirt is really pretty, and I think you did well.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to think about becoming a maxi person - you look great!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool skirt! I love the layered bottom.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great look! The lavendar with black is a nice contrast (so are the materials - I like the soft flowy dress with the biker jacket. You keep it from getting too "dressy.") Terrific!
ReplyDeletebut this maxi is so gorgeous on you! You should wear more! I don't actually own a lot of maxis (maybe 1 or 2), but they're surprisingly flattering, aren't they? The tier of purple looks pretty too.
ReplyDeleteI love the draping and cut of your dress. Paired with the texture of the leather jacket you look dangerously hot.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
Love that you styled your girlie dress with that leather jacket. You are so cool :)

I love your hair like that! Yeah, I really like that dress and the darker ruffle peeping out of the bottom. Way cool with that jacket too! I should have worn a long skirt and sandals today... I decided open toed sandals and tights were a good idea. Soggy feet :(
ReplyDeleteThis feminine/edgy touch is so cool! I just love it and your hair is perfect! You did great, girl!
ReplyDeletelove the ruffles on your dress. I dont own a maxi dress either, its hard to find one for a petite gal
ReplyDeleteI definitely get what you mean; I'm not a maxi person either.
ReplyDeleteYou totally work it though! This whole outfit is gorgeous. Love the color of that dress as well!
Mint & Mellow
Love how you paired the masculine leather jacket witht the feminine floucy skirt
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

OH this is such a beautiful dress, you look so chic and beautiful... I love the shoes as well. It fits perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing dress...love the fabulous hem...great how you styled it with the tough leather jacket!!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the longer skirt and dress lengths are trickier to style. You did great! I love how you wore this dress as a skirt!
ReplyDeletejust when i thought i couldn't get enough of you, you go ahead and become my #100 follower. so happy it was you since i follow your blog regularly! you just made my day- and trust me, it was a seriously epic awful day. so thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is absolutely gorgeous! And I definitely think it counts as a Maxi. I myself am a little terrified of the maxi, though I really want to try it. I just don't know where to begin. I think I should just throw something on and see if it works!
ReplyDeleteDivergent Musings
Look at you! That skirt is freakin' awesome!!! Love that tulle sticking out from under it and the color... OMG. Sooo pretty! I love the mix of hard and soft that you tried here with the jacket and the ultra feminine skirt. Rock and roll!
