Of course we all want nothing more than to wear are cute, but typically sleeveless dresses all year long, and for anyone who has no choice but to deal with cold weather, we need lots of layers.
And you know, it is still cold. (Just slightly less.)

great scarf! really "springs" up the uniform. i love the boots too, such a great color!
ReplyDeleteNot a bad uniform, indeed. It's also great for moving on from the Winter to Spring like you did here.
ReplyDeleteI only started embracing that ensemble this year. I didn't think I'd be able to survive a Minnesota winter with a dress and tights combo but I did this year! Woohoo!
If I could wear a uniform like this every day, then count me in! This is a wonderful outfit...not uniform at all...love the scarf!
ReplyDeleteI'm dying for the warmer days where my uniform can transition to shorts and tank tops! Only a few more months ....
ReplyDeleteyup: it's blogger dress code :) our first warm day here and i spent the entire thing working inside. for shame! love the purple dress but the big earrings are my favorite part of your outfit! so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove love love this look! You look so beautiful and that scarf is perfect for spring!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see your Lucky bag, I want to eat it. YUM.
ReplyDeleteThat could be my uniform too, but I don't wear scarves that often. If it works, wear it!
ReplyDeleteThe color and drape of the dress are really lovely...so it's sleeveless? Hope is that thing with feathers.
ReplyDeleteUmmm HELLO! Love everything about this. Love the colors, the floral scarf...and most importantly I want that purse! Does it come in black?
ReplyDeleteYes, this is totally my uniform! I love the colors in this outfit - the purple and cognac are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful. I'm working hard not to have a uniform. I want to experience fashion to the fullest and enjoy the process. You've been inspiring me along the way, and I thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Except my uniform was skinny jeans instead of a dress--otherwise the same! But there are so many pretty cardigans and scarves out there that it never seems to get old!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that scarf is such a beautiful color and it's so vibrant and cheerful! And you are looking extra gorgeous today, my dear. It's true -- last year and for years before that, the dress + tights + boots combo was a favorite, but this winter in Minnesota convinced me that it's TOO cold here for that, and I had to do a lot of boring leggings and flannels and sweaters and puff coats and scarves and hats and...oh, you get the idea :)

Wow, that's totally my winter/fall/spring uniform - and I am totally okay with that!

Like a crazy person I actually wore a sleeveless dress on Sunday. I just got tired of sweaters, and I totally can't wait until boots become an option and not just a necessity :P I love the purple on purple (that is purple right, I'm a little bit purple/brown colorblind... or is one of those sort of mahogany? gah).
ReplyDeleteway to rock the uniform! i have very few long-sleeve dresses (maybe because i keep buying sleeveless ones!) so layering up allows me to wear them more. anyway, your printed scarf is absolutely gorgeous here and it makes the color palette so sophisticated!
ReplyDeletelove how you incorporated the scarf in your outfit ;)
ReplyDeletelove those boots with that bag! i definitely wore lots of cardigans during late pregnancy, and it hasn't really stopped. that is, till our sudden heatwave this past week, yay!
ReplyDeleteI looove that bag lyddie! looks really great! i now this weather is ahhh… i got a cold and have been 2 day in bed (of course it was weekend!)

ReplyDeleteYou look just darling! I love the scarf and boots (still want but they're sold out!) and I agree with yours and Dotty's comment about the winter uniform. It's always a good look.
