Then the J.Crew went on sale for $50 a few months ago, add in another $8 for shipping - I just couldn't do it.
Which brought me to ebay. If you have never taken advantage of their saved search feature, you are missing out. It is like the obsessive compulsives dream - scanning ebay hourly for new listings matching your search criteria and then sending you either emails or push notifications to your phone.
When the listing for a J.Crew chambray tuxedo shirt in a size 8 popped up in my inbox I knew it was meant to be mine. And I was the only bidder (awesome) so I got it for the opening bid of $20. Sadly the bow tie didn't come with it. I probably would have only ever worn it once just to be cute, but still.
For it's debut, I'm copying Tierney of Ruby Woo Loves You, but in a way, I'm copying myself, since we collaborated on the creation of the look. Only I had to knot the ends, because it's my new favorite thing.
