Something like it

In a matter of a few weeks, I acquired two of the items that were part of my wishlist outfit, so the obvious choice was to wear them together.

I'm pretty happy with this chevron top, but I got a size small and it's falling off my shoulders. That is one of those things I never notice when I try things on in the store - it looks fine, it seems to fit, but get home and wear it for a few hours and I realize it's sliding all over the place.

A few months ago I started following the blog Miles to Style, which has to be the cutest style blog about canine and human fashion ever. It has been making me want to include Chloe in my outfit photos more often (she's certianly done her fair share of photo crashing in the past, but it would be fun to have her around every day). Puppies make good accessories.

Today Chloe is wearing a pink camo bandana. Not my choice, the groomer put it on her. Pink camo is not a good look for anyone... not even a dog.

    This top totally works! I love it! Maybe it's supposed to show off a bit of shoulder? Though, I find that even their XS is sometimes too big on me.

    I love that Chevron top on you --even if it's a bit slip slide-y it looks great. Old Navy has had some really cute stuff lately.

    Great find with the top! I know what you mean about waiting till you get home and seeing things differently. I hate to admit that I am the QUEEN of indecision when it comes to clothes purchases at times and hold onto things right up to the return date as I try to decide if something is "worth it" or not. I just got a great top from Marshalls by Theory. It's like 75 percent off but still kind of felt expensive for what it was. We'll see! I Love how you always buy at a discount. I find no sense in ever paying full price. Plus the hunt is always fun :)

    When you first posted it I looked for that chevron top at Old Navy but they didn't have it! booo. I had the falling off problem with my yellow dress so I sewed ribbons into the back and tied them in a bow across my shoulders. Works perfectly!

    I find the material of chevron tops is very stretchy and slidy so I tend to buy a size smaller than usual. The colour is great on you and I love the wash of that denim skirt! Chloe is such a sweetie- even with her faux pas pink camouflauge! ;)

    I have a shirt that's a little too loose like that. I wear a SUPER TIGHT skirt with it and it kind of balances out the shape. It's not appropriate for everyday wear... but it works with the shirt.

    Or you could go all out and wear a pair of shorts and it could be a very comfy outfit.

    I love the chevron top- what a shame it doesn't seem to be fitting as well as you'd like :( The colour is beautiful on you, though, and I've completely fallen for the fleur de lys on the pocket of your denim skirt. Bonus points for accessorising with your dog; I always love seeing people's pets in their photos, mainly because I don't have one of my own and seeing photos allows me to pretend :)

    I love your chevron top- it's perfect for summer! That happens to me too, which is why I try clothes on again when I get home to see if I still like them as much as I did in the store! It's weird how it can feel so different at the store or at home!

    You have an accessory collection that is very covetable, but you're right, Chloe is the cutest of them all! I need to include my dog in more of my shots! And the top looks good--you can't tell that it won't stay in place. I hate that though, you never really know how something's going to fit until you wear it for more than a few minutes.

    That top is very pretty, maybe you could do some secret pinning to your bra straps with small pinds to keep it in place. Your dog is super cute, the only thing is that I really dislike when people treat their pets as accessories (like Paris Hilton) it's horrible! I know you don't because I usually don't see her in your outfit photos and she's not wearing some weird sunglasses or shoes. She's beautiful even with her pink camo hehehehe
