you nailed it, even if you don't normally wear much black. i wear too much black :)
ReplyDeleteOooh love it! Such a great monochrome look! :D
ReplyDelete(and yea, the price/wear doesn't work for some things, but for others it works really well. ;) )

That's a great skirt Lyddie, I also tend to stay away from black, funny thing a few years ago black ruled over my closet.
ReplyDeleteYou pulled off the black and white look, thanks to that fun print!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I really like this look. The skirt is awesome!
ReplyDeleteFirst off I have to say your hair looks fab-all shiny and glossy. And yes I have too much black in my wardrobe too but it's sort of under control. I think!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteI actually wear black too much. Most days I'm too lazy to coordinate colours and black is easy.
Love the blouse and I think you've styled it perfectly. I've been looking for something tribal but haven't quite found the right piece, but I think this is great. You look lovely.
ReplyDeleteFantastic top! And that necklace is perfect!

I'm completely the opposite, I can't ever stop wearing black. You look beautiful in it! The tribal print top is lovely.

You may not wear much black but black looks fabulous on you.
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning look! Love the top and the side zipper on the skirt.

I'm really digging on the tribal print aesthetic.
ReplyDeleteI usually stay away from all black as well, but I would definitely wear this outfit. You already know how much I love your skirt and the tribal print top gets extra points too. Super cute outfit!
ReplyDeletei love the print of this top! i got a romper from target with a similar print which i love! looks great with that statement necklace.

Totally love this one! Of course, classic chic: black and white + geomterycal print!
ReplyDeleteOn a separate note... how do you manage to do posts almost everyday?
Amazing productivity!

This works so nicely. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI like black and color because it's such a contrast! But black and white is always a wonderful combination. So classic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sassssssy little pencil skirt! Love the front zipper, so cute. It's great against the horizontal tribal pattern of the top!

So What If I Like Pretty Things
I like the unexpected zipper detail of your skirt and it works well with the tribal print top.:D
ReplyDeleteHave a happy June, Lydia!:D

I LOVE that top! The zipper detail on the front of the skirt is super cute as well. xx
ReplyDeleteI didn't use to wear black either until I realized how quick, easy and polished you can look in it.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, the print on the top is really unique and interesting!
Tribal prints are my favorite for summer. Add a wooden bangle and you're good to go! Or, you know, a pair of fab sandals like yours.
ReplyDeletei have the opposite problem, I wear too much black especially to work since I can just grab a pair of black pants and any ole top and be done with it. Thats why I like your blog so much, it always provides me with inspiration especially for work outfits that are colorful and of course cute.
ReplyDeleteI love black and white, the most striking combination. The print on this top is great.
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking the black like a pro! I love how the print and necklace add great texture and interest to this look. Basic black this is definitely NOT!
ReplyDeleteI love that necklace! Black's doing pretty well for you!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Sabrina
such a pretty printed top!
ReplyDeleteomg this is creepy, I just bought a slowy indian inspired printed top on the weekend. I think we have very similar taste :)
ReplyDeleteStunning, simple outfit! Love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the zippered pencil skirt and your tribal inspired top. You find the cutest items at TJ Maxx.
