This skirt didn't look sexy or risqué at all when I looked at it on the model Gap provided. How was I to know it would be Ms. New Booty?

I don't think it's too risque at all - just body con (but you can always slap on some tights if you're worried)....and I would be totally remiss if I didn't toss in here that I adore those shoes!

You indeed look sexy, but not in a risque way. You look amazing! Great look for you!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely bootylicious but I think the length keeps everything in check ;). Those cherries on your sandals are like icing on the cake!
ReplyDeleteDefinately bootylicious but in a more demure, less obvious, mad men, type of sexy ;) Dont worry its not in your face kind of way!

Oooh, I don't know about risque, but it definitely looks great! I love how it look with the yellow top. :D
ReplyDeleteI've had that same problem with skirts! I think the length helps it not be too risque though.
ReplyDeleteShopping and Spreadsheets
Wowsa girl! Don't worry - it looks good in a Lydia kind of way not in a Kim K kind of way - if that makes sense! The strappy heels are a perfect pick for this look
ReplyDeleteThat skirt looks GOOD!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! I know what you mean about the tights thing but from an outside observer's perspective, there's actually very little difference. But on the other hand, you have to feel comfortable. Just know that you look completely work-appropriate for summer.

Ms. New Booty is right, lol! This skirt was MADE for you!! It's definitely sexy but in a demure way because the length is perfect!
ReplyDeleteLidi @ Eclectic Flair
It's sexy in a good way and the fit is perfect for your curves. Now I'm officially adding squats to my new exercise challenge. Those shoes are really adorable..
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit!!
Oh...emmmm....geeee! You look SO hot!!!! I wish I could pull off a skirt that is cut like that - and I love the bright yellow top! Two snaps and a zee formation! Loving it!
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt!

It's a fantastic skirt - not risque - just body hugging- but in a good way - I think someone mentioned it was Mad Men-ish and I agree.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm... I've worn liquid leggings and five inch platform ankle boots to the office before. It is a curve hugging skirt, but it has good length and it's not like you're wearing a backless pleather top or something. I think it looks great, and I love those little shoes!
ReplyDeleteAmazing outfit overall, but the cherry shoes especially tickled my fancy :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a perfect hourglass shape. Pin-up girl!
VA VA VOOM!! You look perfect! Old school Hollywood!
ReplyDeleteyou look amazing!

Why would this wonderful outfit be office inappropriate? Maybe if you worked for a building company with lotsa workmen and high scaffoldings, than it would hold some seripus risks, OK. :D
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! You've got such a great figure.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's too risque for office at all--It looks great on you. And can we discuss these sunnies you're sporting. Hello! those are cute!
ReplyDeletexo,
C
Adore, love your curves! And, love how this outfit can be totally transformed even just by switching out your fab heels. Ahh, the power of shoes!

I'd say sexy more than risque'!
ReplyDeleteThings simply look different on us curvy gals ;-)
You've got amazing curves, and the model doesn't. That's why it looks so much more riqué on you! but I like it so much better this way! and youre shoes are so cute ^^ x
ReplyDeletei think this is completely office appropriate, not at all risque and perfectly darling! it's interesting how certain pieces can make us feel a little self-conscious, even if we know we look good in them. i recently wore a very backless dress to a casual restaurant and was concerned that i was showing too much of myself. my boyfriend's response was that i looked fantastic and if i was happy with how i looked that it would show and noone else would perceive me as inappropriate or showing too much skin. i don't know if i completely agree with him, but definitely a great sentiment to keep in mind, none the less. :)
ReplyDeleteHow I adore your outfit. That skirt is so brilliant.
ReplyDeleteLoving your cherry shoes, nail polish, bracelet, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
move over Beyonce'!
ReplyDeleteForget about it, the models are 7 ft tall and weigh 90 pounds with no curves to be found
you are looking good and i love the cuff bracelet.

Hey. I found your blog from Emily at Tinfoils Tiaras. And now I've completely been stalking all your posts. I absolutely love your wardrobe. But the best part is your amazing style and how you put all your looks together. Fabulous. I also love how your remix pieces.

I just saw some scalloped shorts over at go jane - in case you wanted to add some to your collection :)
ReplyDeleteI think the skirt looks nice, but I am not sure if i'd wear it to work - maybe adding some black flats and a top that had sleeves. Then again that's just me.
i think its totally work appropriate, you get an A+ for todays outfit :)

Love this skirt! You look great in it. I don't think it is too risque for the office. Although I also getting a little nervous when I wear body-hugging clothes to work.
ReplyDeleteFeeling risqué can be good sometimes. You don't look too risqué at all though--definitely work appropriate in my opinion! Curves are better than stick-straight models any day.
ReplyDeleteThat top is pretty unique. Is it like a puff cap sleeve w/ a ruffle? well, I love it! I only have a couple of tulip skirts and I think it can be sexy, I also like Lorena's idea of flats as well, and can see them with tights too!. Happy weekend dear you look lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour pumps have to be the most gorgeous things ever. :)
ReplyDeleteLove
I don't think it's too risque at all. It just makes you look pretty smokin' hot! I would kill for your tiny waist... no lie. Also that top is super adorable, love that shade of yellow!
