This is not what I wore today. For the pattern mixing challenge I wanted to do something a bit more challenging than stripes and floral, something I've done tons of times, and last Wednesday, which is when I wore this outfit.
But today's photos got rained out, and rather than take the camera out in the rain, I decided to post this outfit instead.
Now, I know I haven't let a little rain stop me in the past, but considering all my camera has been through lately, I'm being overly cautious. For a little while, anyway.

The mixed prints look great! The black and white stripes look so graphic against the floral, it's really cool. :D
ReplyDeletesmart decision. gotta be kind to the camera :) you look great. huge fan of all the bracelets!
ReplyDeleteI love your bold mixing. I am still a bit timid about it myself :)
ReplyDeleteYou blend all those rich colors and playful prints so beautifully!

Ugh I forgot about EBEW again! Huge fail. I love florals and stripes, so florals and chevron? Like ten times better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute combo of mixed prints. It really flows well. I love your sandals and your bag. Adorable :)
ReplyDeleteYes florals and stripes are very easy to put together, however I like the mix of colors, the bright red and black and white look great together. =)
ReplyDeleteOoh the colours and prints just jump off the screen. I like! And the aqua bag is a great addition.
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving the floral and stripes together. Those shoes are fabulous!! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the rain, but this outfit is splendid! The colors really pop and I love the optical illusion of the skirt as well!
ReplyDeleteWho can blame you for being camera careful? And I totally love this mixing - florals and stripes have always struck me as the perfect combo.

This looks great! Don't you love how stripes and florals mixed together seems so tame now that it's all over the blogosphere? I felt so risky wearing that combo a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteLove your bag!!

So What If I Like Pretty Things
Your outfit stood out from the other EBEW submissions - possibly because I wore almost the exact same skirt. Mine's Joe Fresh!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for commenting over at my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the patterns here--florals and stripes go surprisingly well together, and I like that you've worked in some bright-colored accessories too.

ReplyDeleteAdoring your take on the EBEW challenge. I saw a lot of people used stripes and I adore that you used a chevron stripe - what a great twist on the classic stripe. Great post - you have fabulous blog photos!

I should heed your cautious approach to camera gear. I always seem to forget that my camera is my most expensive accessory by about 1,000 percent!
ReplyDeleteYou mixed prints here beautifully, even if it wasn't the outfit you intended on showing for EBEW!
Love all the colors in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, love the pattern mix, the color and the braid. I LOVE the type of braid you have but I only know how to do the 3 part one.
ReplyDeleteLove this entire look.
