(Note, if you haven't worn a closed shoe since April, ease into it, rather than wearing them walking all day.)
Since I'd never been to Central Park before, that was our first stop. This bridge had a bunch of people on it, but once we both took out our big cameras, we managed to scare them all away.

We had lunch in Central Park, then went to the East Village for some vintage shopping and coffee. I went to Buffalo Exchange for the very first time - and did come home with a nice find. Since we were in Nnenna's neighborhood, she joined us for dinner.
Then we indulged in some yummy Italian pastries and cookies from Alex's favorite bakery.
I love how dogs are allowed to come in all the shops in New York, I was especially smitten with this cutie in Urban Outfitters.
I loved seeing parts of the city I'd never been to, or simply hadn't seen in a very long time. Though I've been to New York before, it's easy to get stuck in the Touristy areas; it's so much better to have someone who knows the city to be the guide. More tomorrow!
You all look so fabulous. And your tortoise shell glasses are lovely and chic!

Looks like you had tons of fun. And Friday was a beautiful day despite the early chill. I love your outfit, especially the boots and blazer. That first photo of you on the bridge is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I especially love the shots on the bridge! Though I can't believe you've been to NYC before, but never Central Park! (I can't talk, since I've never been, but I assumed that was a mandatory stop on trips there).
ReplyDeleteDamn, your city shots are freaking amazing! Must get a wide angle lens. Also, good memory with everything I was wearing. I definitely do not have recall like that!
ReplyDeleteNYC is so amazing outside of the touristy spots! Looks like you had a great day - and yay for seeing Nnenna.

ReplyDeleteThat wide angle shot is fabulous. I feel like there's no hope of capturing New York's scape withOUT a wide angle. Ha!

That's so fun that you got to visit NYC! I've always wanted to go there, but since I live on the west coast it would take a lot more prep and a lot more money than for those of you lucky people who live just a few states away :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos on the bridge. I love New York too! The best way to explore non-touristy areas is to get lost :)
ReplyDeleteLyddie all the pics are truly gorge, but that first one is OFF THE HOOK. I love it!! Girl I think you need to frame it. No jokes. I went back 3x to look again!

Oh my goodness, you look so happy. That close up of your cute dimples made my heart go squish.
ReplyDeleteSo, that Gap blazer? I saw it online and I was intrigued. But I decided it wouldn't be cute in person. Boy was I wrong. It's super duper cute, even. Your whole look is totes adorbs. Yes, I said totes adorbs. I'm not proud of that. I blame your cute outfit.

What a fun day! How are those Steve Madden Inka boots different from the Intyce? I am in the market for a pair of cognac boots and I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteYou look ESPECIALLY stylish in this outfit! Maybe it's just new since it's more fall than summer, but I really, really like it. And now I'm a little more excited for fall because I have a feeling I'm going to feel the same way about all your fall outfits.
ReplyDeleteOh. And I'm so jealous that you just get to hang out with Nnenna all the time. SO JEALOUS.
