For some reason, this top inspires me to do crazy pattern mixing. I really like it, even though having to iron those ruffles puts me in a bad mood. It's a good thing wearing it puts me in a good mood. As do these swingy, skirt-like shorts that really did not get enough play time this summer.

GREAT pattern mixing! You're always so good at that :) And I'm jealous that you have weather still in the 80's!

I LOVE your bright, bold clutch! So fun. And you pull off the pattern mixing really well. I am usually too nervous to try it. The most bold i have done is florals and stripes, but only really a hint of floral was showing, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt's still in the 80s where you are? Oh, I am one jealous girl! It's been pouring rain and freezing cold in Vancouver, definitely not shorts weather. I love that I get to live vicariously through your late summer look, though. That blouse is beyond adorable! It's a shame you have to iron the ruffles, but obviously oh-so-worth it :)

Love the top ... I think you need a steamer Lyddie for those ruffles ... much easier than trying to iron them :-)

This pattern mix is delightful. Really lovely. You look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI hate to iron as well. But since I purchased an upright steamer, it's made it much easier. And the results are WAY better than ironing. I have one similar to this one http://jcp.is/punwSx.

I'd be celebrating those summer bonus days too if I lived near a beach. Sigh. Anyway, this is pattern mixing at it's best. The colors of these two patterns play off one another perfectly!!

I am loving the mixture of patterns here. The top is gorgeous, and I have never seen a skirt like this before!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I take my pictures in ghettos and scary neighborhoods because I love gritty, city, rundown feels to my pictures. It makes the photos more interesting, and it gives me some inspiration to work with. Most of St. Louis really isn't that bad. I love walking around downtown (never by myself). You just have to know the places to avoid. Even in the middle of the day, it can be kind of creepy.
