Out to dinner

Just so we are clear, this is not what I wore to work today. This was to dinner on Friday night. I have such a backlog of outfits, long gone are the days when I post the outfit I wore on the day I actually wore it.

This lace top is clearly my item of choice when I want to be a little sexy, but still pretty much covered up. I feel elegant. My Sis, as you know, thinks it makes me look like a trollop, but to each their own.

    So yeah, I made the mistake of wearing a lace top actually very similar to this one UNDERNEATH a buttoned blazer to work. Considering you couldn't see anything lacy but the cuffs and hem, I thought I'd be ok. Middle aged male bosses tend to have diarrhea of the mouth when it comes to lace. Never again. Needless to say, you look pretty. Your blog is inspiring as always.

    I agree about lacy/sheer tops. They are not for everyone, but I totally dig it for the same reasons--it's like innocent sexy. I love your top and the simple black skirt.

    This is a great outfit for a Friday night out! I love the contrast between the looser lace top and the slim fit of the skirt. And I think if you threw a cami underneath the top, it'd be business casual appropriate.

    Yeahhhh you can barely even tell, and if you hadn't said anything I probably wouldn't have even noticed there's nothing under the lace. Also, I really love those t-straps. Be a flapper (like me!) for Halloween and wear those, they're perfect!
