Even though it was overcast all day long, that isn't necessarily a bad thing for photos. I feel like a lot of people dismiss the nice even lighting conditions of an overcast day -- just don't accidentally over expose like I always do!
I was trying to remember if last November had any warmer days like this, and I looked at my old outfit posts - I actually wore this dress with bareish legs and arms. Though I'm pretty sure I was colder then.

I saw so many people in shorts today - this warmer weather during the days is crazy! Yay for you for being able to get another wear out of summer sandals.

This dress is super cute with that shirt tied over it. I also am really digging that hat. I clicked on your November 2010 look and I was blown away by that whole ensemble as well.

November sandals! Yes!! Loving the warm weather, live it up while it lasts! x
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of the unseasonable warmth you lucky, lucky East Coasters have been experiencing - it's been wintery on the West Coast since early September! The fact that you've transitioned this dress for fall but are still wearing sandals makes me seriously envious :) And your stacked bracelets add such a lovely sparkle, especially against the gray skies. I'm so with you on even lighting on overcast days, it may not be as joyful as bright sun but it makes taking photos so much easier!

So glad you are still able to wear sandals at this time of the year, I've been savoring the bare leg weather before it leaves.

I was just digging in my archives last night to see what I was wearing around this time last year! I was wondering how much I've changed.
ReplyDeleteI like the top worn this way! It looks like an unstructured jacket. I love the colors together, too. They ground this outfit firmly in fall and you can wear the sandals :)
Love your outfit! Cute hat!

Great colors (and location, for that matter) in these. The warm weather has totally been throwing me, too. Who would think it could be so comfortable after all that early snow? (she says, knowing it's supposed to rain tomorrow!)
ReplyDeleteRock those sandals as long as you can dear!

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect fall outfit. I love the touch of the hat.
ReplyDeleteSo cute with the hat! You go girl with the sandals. Wear them as long as you can!
ReplyDeleteI have never worn sandals in November, but I am wearing ballet flats today despite it being 40 degrees outside with a killer wind.

I love the way this top looks tied above your skirt. I'm with you on overcast days, nice even lighting is much easier to work with through the camera AND Photoshop afterwards to make it LOOK sunny outside ;)
ReplyDeleteThat hat is fabulous!! I love the lighting in these shots- and the fantastic scenery. Beautiful!
ReplyDeletelove the top!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit, especialy the hat and blouse..so nice!

That hat is such a great wardrobe addition- every time you wear it I think of Helena Bonham Carter in The King's Speech.
ReplyDeleteLucky you with sandals weather;-)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely you look in this ensemble. The hat and blouse are my favourites. Have a sweet Wednesday, too;-)
I'm wearing flip flops bc it is 75 here in Atlanta. Tomorrowmit will be 50!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute and I am jealous that you are having warm weather. I am on my way to LA later this week otherwise I would be graveling at your feet to send me some of your sandal weather.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre

It's the world famous TJ Maxx hat again! Love the scalloped edges. They remind me of you. (your shorts and blazer... and general love for scallopy things!)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to use your summer wardrobe in the Fall. Love the location. Didn't realise Second Skin had stopped posting on her blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, lucky to bring out those cute sandals once more. I love the printed top, pretty colours on you. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing fall weather you are having! Love how you tied that Tucker tunic into a wrap top for that dress!!
ReplyDeleteI say that it is okay to wear sandals as long as there isn't snow on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, having sandals weather in November! It's nothing but rain, rain, rain here :) I like that you tied your blouse in a knot - it gives the whole look a very summery vibe, which seems appropriate for the spectacular weather you're having.
ReplyDeleteLove how you tied that top...I can never seem to pull that off!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view! I like the hat on you. So casual fab.:D

66F? It's -10C here (I think 15F) with 30km winds. I am trying to live vicariously through you but it's hard to imagine bare legs right now :)
ReplyDeleteLove the floral shirt and how it changes the whole look of the dress!
ReplyDeleteYesssss--Tucker for Target!!
ReplyDeleteI totally wore flip flops the other day, the weather has been so crazy!
ReplyDeleteWay to stick it to the (weather) man with those sandals and bare legs, girl! If it's nice out, why not? And now I have another great idea for wearing that shirt!
