This was my attempt at outfit photos late in the day with the sun shining on me, rather than behind me (which is what I would typically do). It's a little intense, but don't be fooled, I was absolutely freezing. Open toe shoes and cropped pants were not exactly the best choices, but I don't want to change for the weather; why won't it change for me?

The lighting is these is nuts - so pretty! I ventured outside for an outfit shot this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find it warmer than it was in Chicago, so that's something.

ReplyDeleteThese photos are super cool though Lyddie!!! I love the intensity of the sky color, clouds and water. Awesome! Love your trench!

I wish I could complain about the sun in my photos...that is I can't take any because the sun doesn't come out!! Love the green accents with the pink, cute!
ReplyDeleteLove that your rockin' pink crops! I wore my khaki ones today ;)

I like the change in your photos ^^ Those oink capris are so fun! i adore them :) and by the way, you must learn me more about how you take your photos normally. I love the effect the sun has in them :) x
ReplyDeleteI love the different shades of pink, and I totally love the accessories! This outfit is great.

You almost fooled me- it looked so much warmer :)
ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautiful settings for pictures -
this morning I ran around trying to find a place on my parking place to take a picture - the cel fell on the floor and fell apart. Then the concierge showed up and then I had construction workers nearby. Not easy !
Oh, did I mention i like your color scheme ?
I love the glowy look of these photos, and find that I usually take my photos (99 percent of the time at least) with the sun shining on me instead of behind me. I just like the saturated colors it provides, and I can never quite get my exposure correct when shooting with the sun behind me. The light looks almost tropical (with your outfit colors) in these photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the double pink, and one of my favorite color combos is pink + seafoam/whatever color your necklace is. Sorry it was so cold though ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst, these photos are gorgeous, beautiful light! Second, I am obsessed with your hot pink pants and the fact that they are cuffed. Third, love all of your jewelry, soooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've been experimenting with non-backlit photos, too! I love how saturated the colors come out, but I always end up with bizarre shadows everywhere from tree branches, oops. I'm totally fooled by these photos. You could be in Florida for all I know.
ReplyDeleteyou look good in every kind of lighting. PS found a similar pair of pants at H&M and scooped them up because I love yours so much :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I like this lighting in your photo-- good good experiment on your half. That last photo is especially lovely. And those mint accessories! I think I will make a quest to your closet and steal all your minty-colored things.
ReplyDeleteMy, you're quite brave to be wearing open toed shoes in *gasp* January. But hey, who says you have to comply with what the weather wants? I like your attitude. You've got guts. You keep on rockin' and rollin' like the ocean behind you.
i am in love with the color combo here

What a lovely necklace!
ReplyDeletelove the different pinks!
ReplyDeleteadore your necklace! And that last photo is absolutely breathtaking! xo
ReplyDeleteOpen-toed heels in winter is very brave but everyone needs a break don't you think? Love the big link bracelet
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of button-down shirts under sweaters. I've been seeing it a lot and am dying to try it. The pink pants are awesome!
ReplyDeleteYay, the pink pants...I'll be wearing mine later this week!
ReplyDeleteYayyy for color in New England!! I'm still kicking myself for returning those pants as opposed to exchanging for my proper size. You totally kill it every time you wear them! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I swear the sunsets were NOT that awesome when I was in that area... No snow AND no awesome sunsets? Talk about a let down, New England!
xx Melina
I love your mint accessories!

I want to recreate this outfit!! The shades of pink are perfection but paired with a classic trench and chic accessories - SWOON!
ReplyDeleteI wish the weather would change for me too! I love how these photos turned out--the light is hitting you perfectly and bringing out these gorgeous colors. I love how you mixed the shades of pink, then added the turquoise too!
ReplyDeletethe chain bracelet...you come up with the best accessories.
ReplyDeleteI love how you don't let the weather win- you wear what you want! And the sky looks totally gorgeous in your pictuers! :)
ReplyDeletestar-crossed smile
You're a true professional taking gorgeous pictures and making it look easy even though it's freezing! Love those pants my Old Navy only had 1 pair left...not in my size :0(
ReplyDeleteI love the pink pants on you! I thought I was too old for pink pants but I stand corrected. This looks very classic!!
