Return to the sea

I'm always excited to start pulling out all my nautically inspired pieces from my closet; navy chevron stripes and starfish jewelry only scratch the surface. Thankfully I live close enough to the Long Island Sound that I don't have to worry about looking like a fish out of water.

    Love this skirt! And the blue & yellow combo. I've never been big on the 'nautical trend' personally. I think it's because I'm a terrible swimmer. But I love the looks on other people.

    Despite loving nautical-inspired things, I've come to the conclusion that I own very few of them. I'm thinking a rope bracelet DIY is in order this spring.

    Kate Spade has a few dresses in chevron that this outfit totally reminded me of.
    I look at the ocean every morning from the shower.
    Sometimes I can see cruises lining up to go through the canal.
