Turns out I like taking photos in the center of town, even though there are always lots of people around, these people are generally friendly; they apologize when they think they've stepped into the frame, they say things like "oh these photos are going to come out so well", and they compliment my handbag.
Of course when it comes to people, you never know what you are going to get, and of course I would usually go for seclusion when I'm alone taking photos - because it can be a little awkward to have an audience, but for now, I'm not minding so much.

Beautiful colors--I love the turquoise purse with this and your long hair!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning dress! I have had some interesting reactions when I'm taking photos around town. People see the camera and have to know what's going on :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in an awkward between phase of not wanting an audience and not minding so much as far as taking photos in public. But you always do just great. I love your floral dress and blazer!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty love the entire look and the colors are very flattering on you.
ReplyDeleteLoving the print of that dress! You accessorized it perfectly with that gorgeous turquoise bag :)
ReplyDeleteLookin' great, girl! Loving the red and turquoise combo. Hope you're doing well.

What a gorgeous dress! You've had a lot of luck at Kohl's lately from the looks of this post and your sidebar list of purchases. I get a little shy when out taking pictures by myself since there's lot of vocal passers-by in my busy neighborhood. Impressed with your confidence!

You're so brave to take pictures of yourself in front of others without having a complete meltdown. I always feel so paranoid that people will see me. Love your fresh red and aqua outfit! You look fantastic.

You have a brave heart, haha. Oh, i tried this taking photos in public thing last week and don't think it's something I'd do again. too many stares!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this dress Lydia! It's soooooo pretty :) x
You are so brave! I would be so terrified to take photos in a more public place. Heck, I even get shy doing them in my driveway if I feel like my neighbors can see me!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a perfect spring look. I love the combo of the red and the turquoise.
you've got guts to take photos in a very crowded place! :) I love this outfit, Lyddie! The dress is super pretty and your handbag is super chic!

I hate taking photos in public so I commend your bravery! Also, I totally love that blazer - such a great piece.

Hey, better to take pictures in friendlytown compared to somewhere less crowded where meanies who shout at you are!! and people are so nice and compliment you?! that is so lovely (of course they should compliment you though because you are stunning and radient and all other things synonymous to beautiful!)
ReplyDeleteI adore the bright blue of your purse and regret not ever buying that dress from Kohl's every time I see you wear it. Le sigh!
I see you are getting marvelous weather !
ReplyDeleteYou courageous woman :) I'd die going out with a tripod in the middle of town. Then again my audience here is totally wacko and I'd not only get stares but the comments. I think you have an educated audience :)
I love the hair-in-your-face picture. For me, those always turn out the best -- or the funniest, depending on how strong the wind gust was. Ha! Love this bag.

ReplyDeletePeople are always thinking they've stepped into my frame, too, although they rarely ever do. Give my little camera too much credit for the area is can cover!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see this dress again! It's been so windy here, too.
Love the turquoise touches with this red/pink color. Yet again your accessories totally make the outfit:)
ReplyDeleteI would have stopped and complimented your bag too. I adore the color! Its so bold and lush. I need it!

ReplyDeleteThe awesome thing about taking outside pics in big tourist cities like SF (and even when I lived in Las Vegas) is that people always think you're just taking tourist photos and don't pay you any attention :)
