This is probably my favorite spot in town during the brief period that they are blooming.
I decided to do a little research, and apparently this variety is called Kanzan.

Beautiful outfit, perfect for springy weather. Gosh those blossoms in the back are beautiful! We have quite a bit in San Francisco too, they make everything much more pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou got some AMAZING shots! I'm obsessed with photographing cherry blossom trees - for the short while they're in bloom, I head out with my camera pretty much every sunny day to take pictures of them, even if my photos turn out looking exactly the same as the ones the day before :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower of your blog! Would love the follow back :) Stunning outfit and gorgeous trees!

Gorgeous photos as usual Lydia. Our blossoms already fell off. :-( I went to take pics by them yesterday and they were gone! :-O At any rate, I love the teal and pretty coral heels with these pretty trees!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful set of shots Lydia - these are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI think almost everything that blooms here has already bloomed. You make me want to go out and try to find a late bloomer to take pictures with. Maybe this weekend as Monday is a holiday.

this is my favorite time too. I just wish they would stay in bloom for longer. They are just the prettiest trees.
ReplyDeleteI think all the sakura are gone in New York :( I love this dress! And I think you should totally try to do the seafoam cardi with the seafoam pants. It would either be ridiculous or awesome. At least instagram a photo before you take it off, haha.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Laura (The Blog of Worldly Delights) would like to join our petite group. If we can ever name it, that is.
the sakura!!!! awe. I miss japan. you look lovely.

Gorgeous colors! I love the color of your cardigan paired with the pink blossoms.
ReplyDelete(And, yes, if you wouldn't mind updating your blog roll to add Bedknobs & Baubles instead, that'd be amazing! Eventually I'll put up a "Blogs I love list" and I'll include you.)

Oh my, oh my! What an absolutely gorgeous set of photos. The pink of the flowers and the texture of them is caught so well in some of those close ups. The picture of your heels with the fallen blossom is too lovely, as well. And the one where the tree is framing your ever-so-gorgeous face. I like these photos. I like them indeed.
ReplyDeleteOf course, your outfit is lovely as well. ;) I love the contrast of those orange-y red heels and the seaform cardigan.
Hi Lady! You look lovely. I would have liked to have seen what the dress looks like without the cardi, but I love the green color, regardless.
ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossoms look great as a backdrop!
