I've had this ruffled top for quite some time... and it's sort of been in the giveaway pile for a while. But I just couldn't follow through and bring it to the thrift store, no matter how little I wear it. The last time it was on?
August, 2010.
But, with this recent resurgence of peplum tops it's practically trendy again.

I've been wondering when I would start seeing peplum in the blogosphere :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the way you've styled this - the pencil skirt balances out the ruffles nicely, and I like the colors together.

That top is so pretty! I never tried the peplum style before this year, but now I love it (and can't believe it looks good even with my curves!) and kind of hope it sticks around for a while.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of this top! I am glad it got a second chance! And YAY!!! the cherry heels come out to play again!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really cute! See, aren't you glad you held onto it for a bit?

I know what you mean, I have a pile of stuff that I SHOULD giveaway but then I'll wear one of those pieces and then worry that I actually should hold on to everything. And then one day I'll be found burried alive under a mountain of clothing that should have been donated!

Cute! I love the top with red and green. Color combination I never would have thought of.
ReplyDeleteWhen these shoes come out I know it's practically summer :)
i like how you kind of made it into the peplum shape with the belt- that's a really crafty idea. i'm the same way with my clothes! i've had pieces hanging in my closet for months that i knew i'd never wear yet i didn't want to give away. it's kind of maddening.
ReplyDeleteCute top. I just cant seem to find a peplum top that doesnt make me look like a large baboon.
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes of yours! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice that the pattern of the blouse is a liiittle bit like the cherries on your sandals! :)
love this!

It's a beautiful item and you wore it well.... wear it this season and then get rid of it. If you have not worn it in so long, the odds are you still wont- happens to me all the time. So lately my give away pile IS given away once a month. No regrets so far.
ReplyDeleteI love the peplum trend! You paired it beautifully!!

I love the way the shoes pick up the pattern in the top. BTW, I saw the starfish bracelet on a third blogger today, Jessie at Style and Pepper.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour combo :)
ReplyDeleteThey say everything comes back sooner or later
I love it! The colors look great together too :) Have a great weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI feel like purple and red are so hard to wear together, but it looks so good on you!
ReplyDeleteI really like this color combo for the peplum top. The red just makes the purple pop more. Plus I love you cherry shoes you added. The whole looks get a thumbs up!

Good thing you saved that shirt! Everything comes back in style eventually. EVENTUALLY.
ReplyDeleteBut really, that is a cute shirt. I love how artistically you tied that belt, and how you brought out the green in your cute cherry shoes with that bag.
I just like saying the word "peplum" :) Hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend.
