Get Giddy

Tonight is the season premier of Burn Notice.
It's one of the few shows I still get really excited about, and it's now become a bit of a blog tradition to pay some sort of homage to Fiona Glenanne's style each year.

While she may not wear my ikat dress or sensible wedges, I still put this together with her in mind.

I also created a look that might be a little more Fi, and decided to choose pieces from JC Penney, just because I was so impressed with their affordable, fashionable offerings. (Why oh why did I not see that scarf print dress in the store?!)

    Now I remember you mentioning this show around this time last year, and I still haven't checked it out! I'm not much of a tv watcher, but the show I get excited about is Criminal Minds. Anyway, I love this ikat piece in your growing collection as well :)

    Aw, an outfit in honor of your show! What a good idea to make an outfit based off that. I really like those wedges. They're almost like flatforms, but not really. And your black and gold bracelet is really perfect and I'd like to take it away from you since I really like gold things.

    Have fun watching your show! :D Still watch True Blood? Just saw the first episode of the new season on Sunday. It was shocking, sexual, and gorey as usual, bahaha.

    Oh, I love Burn Notice! Josh and I are working our way through old seasons now - we just finished season 3. I do love Fiona's style, but mostly I love her sass and her willingness to blow up anything :)

    I love Burn Notice too. We've watched the first 4 seasons on Netflix this past 2 months. What a fun show.

    Arrrrgh I still haven't caught up on last season! I definitely see Fiona in this outfit-- ikat is summery and the belt is spot-on. Can't say I've ever seen her wear sensible wedges, but I'm sure they'd be easier to fight and blow things up in :)

    Obviously I adore that dress, but I probably don't even need to say that! I also went back and looked at your previous post about her style and now I really kind of want a leather hip bag (I cannot bring myself to say I want a 'fanny pack'...). Is that wrong? She looks so fab in hers!
