My next JC Penney find is quite possibly my favorite, this beautifully printed pencil skirt which was only $20. The best part about it? It actually fits me. Pencil skirts are often a tough item for me because of my curves - but this one fits both my waist and my hips just perfectly.
The website describes this skirt as being an
A-Line Bias cut skirt -- so it does have a very slight flare, but is definitely more of a pencil skirt. Because I'm petite, I did have to hem it about 4" to hit me above the knee though!

What a gorgeous skirt and a great price! I have grown to realize that pencil skirts might not be for me. They are usually so restricting. But this one seems to have some room for movement in it!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute on you!

Yaaaaay, that's awesome that you found a pencil skirt that fits you right! I feel like pencil skirts are some of the hardest pieces to fit. They have to be just perfect in the hips, waist, and length.. and a single size could just never do that! Good thing for your rad sewing skills. Such a lovely pattern that is, I'm sure you'll have fun with it in the future.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely in love with the blue hues in this outfit, this skirt is such a pretty pattern, and I absolutely adore your necklace and that sequin bag!
