I do not consider the midi trend to work for me, anything hitting me just below the knee is too long. However the material made me reluctant to hem it, and so in the past I've always gotten creative with safety pins and belts.
But I wanted to try it at it's natural lenght. So I put on my highest heels and went with it.

Oh how do you do it? How do you always look so cute and chic, never a drop of sweat on you!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress. It looks great on you. I agree that midi length is not always the most flattering length..but there are always exceptions and I think this dress is one of them. I think everything about it look lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove that coach bag! It looks like the perfect black bag.
Very pretty dress I love the first picture you look super sexy!!! great post!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, you look beautiful! Love your Coach bag, I have been eying a Willis bag!

That is a beautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteI think the dress totally works on you at this length :) I'm afraid of this length too, but I actually have an outfit post coming up later this week with a skirt of a similar length...I think it ended up looking somewhat better than I thought!
ReplyDeleteI, myself, am not too fond of midi length too but this dress is just perfect on you! The length, the color the print everything is just fab!

I love the fit and the print of this dress, it's gorgeous! And even the length totally works with those heels!
ReplyDeleteI think the midi length is totally working for you - the heels make it happen.

I think that length looks good on you, but I know what you mean, ha ha, it feels weird.

Oh, that dress is gorgeous! I think most women have the same problem with midi dresses - they look great on other people, but when I put one on all I notice is how gigantic it makes my calves look. Still, I think it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThe midi length is definitely a tricky one, but with those nude heels, I think the dress looks wonderful on you!!

From here, that dress looks pretty darned breath-taking at any length :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell how tall peeps are from their blog pics, but if you're suggesting that shorter women can be midi-challenged, you are correct. I find that I need heels for midis and maxis to compensate for being so low to the ground :P
The dress in this length looks perfect and gorgeous on you!!!!

Im sorry, but why dont you like this length on you?? I think it suits you quite well.
ReplyDeletegreen looks good on you <3
ReplyDeleteI think this dress fits you like a dream, shows off your tiny little waist!!!
ReplyDeleteI am always so jealous of your bags! Don't wrap dresses make you fee really womanly?! At least they do for me!
ReplyDeleteActually I think this dress totally works on you! I love the color and subtle pattern of it.
ReplyDeleteYou pulled it off and you look great. The key to midis are high high heels!
ReplyDeleteI love a pretty wrap dress, so flattering. Fab heels.

I am having a fabulous giveaway right here.
Oh i have to agree this dress is fab on you ! it's a beautiful garment but like you i think midis are hard to pull off, which i think you did!
ReplyDeleteThe longer length works well with this dress, but I agree, it is specific to different items.Sometimes if I wear a below the knee dress I feel too matronly.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the look, Lyddie! The heels with it make everything just the right length. :D I know what you mean for not being able to work certain trends... I fear I'll never be able to wear those hi-low hemmed dresses and skirts. Ah, well!
ReplyDeleteThose sunglasses are so chic, too, and of course the vintage coach is always right!
Hmm I think the length of the dress works well on you. Paired with the heels, I think it lengthens your overall look!!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful! I love the dress, but it's definitely true that the midi length is not the best for petites. I wouldn't style it with flats, but I think it definitely works with heels!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so flattering on you - your shoulders and arms look tiny!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty dress! I love the print! And thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

ReplyDeleteI think the length is gorgeous on you! It might be the heels with it, but… seriously, I think it makes you look taller and accents just the right amount of curves. Looks lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI think you look great in this dress - such a classic fit, you can't go wrong!
ReplyDeleteI love the print on that dress, and it looks so good with the heels! :)

I know what you mean. I have several dresses that fit me just under the knee and they always make me feel short, stumpy, and frumpy. You however look fantastic in this dress! I think you can rock just about anything really ;)
ReplyDeletewww.thejoyoffashion.blogspot.com
your hair in the first picture! wow
ReplyDeleteSuch a flattering cut! Lookin' good, girl xoxo
ReplyDeleteMidi's usually make me look short but in the case of this dress it works so well on you.
ReplyDeletewww.living-thesuite-life.blogspot.com
A gorgeous, flattering dress.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I don't love the length of midi dresses. I think they cut off the legs and for someone like me, with long legs, it really makes me look stumpy!
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Hour
You look absolutely beautiful! This dress is perfection in you!! :)
