Horse is a horse

I thrifted this white linen J.Crew skirt for a $1.50, which is why I ignored the fact that I don't really fit into a size zero and the fact that anything linen turns into a wrinkled mess after sitting all day.

There is still a good chance I will get my $1.50's worth out of it though.

  1. Size 0? Amazing! I'm just glad I didn't stumble onto that because there is no way my size 6 body could squeeze into that, I would have been heartbroken having to leave it!

  11. I love the skirt--it doesn't look wrinkly at all! You're reminding me that I need to wear my horse-print top-jacket thing... it's been hiding in my closet, nearly forgotten about!

  14. A thrifted skirt for $1.50 that makes you a size 0? I'm sold. ;) It looks so good against that horse print shirt of yours! And you've been getting good wear out of all these hats of yours, haven't you?

  15. haha also, I really like how you've got your Equipment Blouse over there in your purchases all ~$18.00~ and then you link to the $200 way to buy it. LOL that's so mean. You're such a tease. :)

  16. It happens with J. Crew, once I bought a skirt that was a few sizes smaller than what I usually wear but it still fit. Your skirt is a good find, I think it fits your perfectly, doesn't look tight at all. =)

  20. I think it fits pretty good well and at $1.50 you've already gotten your investment back by wearing it once :)

  22. You are fakin' size zero really, really well, Lydia! That skirt looks like a perfect fit on camera.

But I'm more focused on the horse shirt. The Teen bought a shirt with a horse print on it last week, at Delia's I think. Now I have to have a horse print shirt. You know, a cheap one. But I'm too old for Delia's :o

  23. Love that skirt! Funny how price makes us forget the stupid things that would prevent us from buying an awesome piece of clothing ;)

  29. It's a beautiful horse print shirt. I dislike linen for it's susceptibility to wrinkle but I love the feel of it.

  30. Your outfit is adorable. I love love love the horse print shirt...what a lucky find.

  31. Awesome find! One thing I've learned from thrifting is to ignore the size lable if it looks like it fits. That skirt fits you beautifully, so who cares what the tag says?

  32. Ohhh I almost got this skirt in orange! Size zero actually looks pretty normal-- I thought my regular size was huge in the hips, but when I sized down it was far too small in the waist. You could do all white in this skirt, too, though I really like it with the navy horse shirt and hat!

  33. My favorite shirt!! Yay for pairing it with a white skirt, makes it stand out even more :-)

  34. This is pairing is so great. I am jealous. one because you fit in this skirt and two because you keep thrifting J. Crew for such a good price.
