Nautical

These striped shorts from Old Navy probably would have been a better purchase earlier in the summer, but I couldn't find them in the store (I went to two locations!) so I finally ordered them on line and then had to wait for what seemed like ages for them to arrive.

So I styled them simply for a day at the beach with all my favorite nautical pieces.
I sat in the sun and read the NY Times style mag cover to cover (and by read, I mean look at the clothes).

It's the last day of August! How could this ever happen? I feel like I spend my whole life just waiting for it to be summer again.

    I just scored a beautiful white vee neck Tahari tee for $5 at Marshalls very similar to yours. I don't own any shorts, but will try the cute partial tuck with a pair o' ankle pants :)

    && I did not use any external lighting! I just put him on a piece of white paper outside and increased the brightness on my computer a lot to edit them. :D

    Just saw these when I was in the store with Nnenna! Old Navy had some really good shorts this year.

    You need to be on a boat, for real. Or at a lobster bake in Maine.
