I have plenty of photos from the rest of the day however, which was kicked off with the ribbon cutting at Piperlime, and everyone was given a $100 gift card to get the shopping going. I ended up bringing home an adorable yellow Pim + Larkin dress.
Mid way through the day my new friend Alex and I stole away for some much needed Starbucks and outfit photos, and I happily volunteered to snap photos of another new acquaintance, Laura and Meg of course.
We went to several other stores, swooning over the goods at Kate Spade and sipping champagne at Calypso St. Barth. Even though I made sure I had money in my budget to do a little tax free shopping in NYC, I didn't buy anything else! I suppose it's because I rarely make impulse purchases... I like to leave and come back before I buy.

That day sounds like a dream!! I can't wait to see the new dress. I'm usually "on a mission" when I shop too, so it seems like whenever I shop just for fun I don't come home with much. Unless I go to Target... then things just start jumping into my cart!
ReplyDeleteI love that you borrowed Meg's shoes. And it looks like you just had such a perfect day...also, I've got to throw in that I just adore that dress on you.

You made such cute friends! Everyone is dressed so very nicely! I really like Laura's pretty hair bun and Alex's ornate belt... such neat little accessories! And of course, you're looking stunning as always, with such a gorgeous feather dress. I'm glad that you got something, at least, even if you didn't go shopping crazy--sometimes, you just don't find things, but that's better to find one thing you like than spend money on pointless things! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I must say that I love where these pictures are taken... the streets are so neat!
OMG, I WOULD die from excitement!
ReplyDeletesounds like the best day evah!
