Every store has a slightly different inventory, so it's often worth while to check out different locations, if you have the time.
Such was the case with this bag. I initially found it in black, and in two sizes. I loved the shape, the feel of the leather, and the smell. The drop handles are comfortable, and the optional cross-body strap is convenient. If you ever shop with me, you'd notice I'm a very tactile shopper, especially when it comes to bags. I usually pick them up and carry them around with me while I shop.
Even though I really liked the bag in black, I had a small reservation. So I left it behind. Then when I stepped into the next TJs, the bag in brown was the first thing I laid eyes on, and I knew I was taking it.
Here are the rest of my T.J.Maxx scores in action:
P.S. What a difference a day makes! Notice how I went from tights and boots to bare legs and sandals? The weather is being indecisive. Low 30's on Saturday, low 70's on Sunday. Silly New England.

This New England weather is ridiculous! I won't complain about the unseasonably warm days though. I also try to hit up mutliple TJ Maxx/ Marshall's locations, especially if I'm looking for something specific. That bag is a great find. Love the option of wearing it cross-body!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix of patterns, TJ Maxx always has some great finds.

Oh I love the pink peaking out of the brown leather in this bag Lydia and I love your shoes too! Our nearest TJ Maxx is in a town like 45 minutes away in either direction :-( So I have to go with Ross or Marshall's which are ok, but no where near the selection or quality as TJ Maxx.
ReplyDeleteyou are one lucky girl....250 at our fav store!!! i am for sure jealous!

That bag has such a classy shape, so I'm glad you got it. I love the red details on it, too!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you're super lucky to have 2 TJ Maxx's within 20 minutes of you... lucky! There's one down here at my college and I can't even find the front door to it. LAME.
I love the unexpected pattern mixing in this. I would have never guessed that leopard and scarf print would look so nice together, but the red and cognac really ties them together!
Your bag is fab! It complements your paisley top and red skirt perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI love the bag.... specially the colored trim :)
ReplyDeleteLovely bag - but also loving that shirt
