Wine and olives

Here is the maxi in the alternate color, 'winter wine' which is definitely the color of this fall.
I am all about being comfy and cozy on these cold, grey days - so that is what this outfit is.

The one aspect I dislike of this maxi skirt is the really wide yoke, which you can't see because I've taken care to conceal it. It certainly won't be hard to layer things over it, though I really would like to have the option to tuck things. Perhaps I can just hide the yolk under a wide belt...

  1. Great color combo and I agree with the wide yoke dilemma.. I am not a fan of those either and am more of a 'tuck it in' kinda girl with the ultimate accessory of a wide belt!!
I love this outfit on you and you have concealed the waistline well!

  2. I hate that issue that I often have with maxi skirts. The yoke can be so awkward and adds bulk in my opinion! Two things that you never want!

  3. Okay, I like all your maxi skirts but this one is hands down my favorite! That color! And it's gorgeous with that olive green top.

  5. So many great colours! And I love you much you're rocking maxis these days. We got 31 cm of snow here yesterday so my maxi wearing days are over a bit I think but it's nice that I can live vicariously through you.

  16. I just looove that skirt, such a pretty color! It looks great paired with olive too.

Also, I don't know if it will work, but one of my maxi skirts is like that and when I want to tuck in a shirt I sort of fold the yoke down (in half) and then put a belt over that. If that makes sense?

  17. I went and looked at these skirts and I just couldn't figure out how to get past the yoke problem. (Why do they even put those on skirts? So unflattering!) I can't even see the yoke on your skirts and after seeing you style both, I think I might have to go back and see if I can make them work.
I love that soft blazer, it looks so cozy and warm, perfect for the colder weather!

  38. I would never have thought to pair olive green with this dark fuschia wine shade, but the combination is lovely! However, I am distracted by your blazer, which I absolutely adore. The black piping on the gray is an amazing detail.
