Even more frightening is that heart disease is the number one killer of women, so no matter what your age, please take care of your heart!

What a fun look and great event. Thanks for listing the symptoms - I can definitely see why most people would think it is just a minor incident and not get it checked out!

So easy to dismiss some of those symptoms!! Seems like such a great event to attend. I love how you showed how you changed your outfit from day to night! Those glittery shoes are just awesome!
ReplyDeleteLady in Red - this colour suits you so well!
ReplyDeleteGreat leo coat too.
You are beautiful!

You are right we never really would consider those symptoms as something to be concerned about. And she was only 40! On a happier note that peplum top is brilliant! Such a great colour for you!
ReplyDeleteLove both looks! And truly a great cause! I think the symptoms also trip women up because they differ for men and women, and we mostly hear about the symptoms men get. A family friend found herself in the same situation but thankfully got to the hospital in time.

Since my father and one of my uncles both died from heart attacks, I'm more aware of the symptoms than I think most people are. I hope that these campaigns are successful in raising awareness and preventing heart disease related deaths!
ReplyDeleteI love that red peplum top! What a glamorous piece!
What a great post Lydia. You make an excellent point. We do need to care for our hearts and be alerted to warning signs of a heart attack. I love your red peplum top and, of course, the leopard coat.
ReplyDeleteLove the peplum top!

Yay for heart awareness! I hope I never have to see any of those symptons on myself in the future, 'cause I don't eat processed food and I ride my bike every day, so no worries hopefully! But I'm glad that you're keepin' people aware, Miss Lyddie. And your red outfit inspired from it is simply fabulous. Leopard and red are so very delicious together! <3
ReplyDeleteThat red top looks great on you, and it goes really nicely with the leopord.
ReplyDeletelove both looks! especially your new jacket!

Goodness, that kind of made me want to go for a run or something. It's scary that a lot of the symptoms can be so similar to symptoms of a stressful lifestyle (and seriously, who doesn't have that?).
ReplyDeleteIn lighter news, can I just say you wear peplum tops so well! This red really suits you! And I'm still lusting after that coat...
Love the red peplum top and whole outfit!
ReplyDeleteOH my what a gorgeous coat thru & thru.....& lovely how you put red in it!!!!

I'd just read about these symptoms of heart attacks, it was frightening since they are things you never really think of as being terribly dangerous. (The back pain especially! Sudden feelings of extreme doom were also mentioned which I thought was so strange.)
ReplyDeleteThat all said, I how how structured your peplum top is, the seaming and the pleats are so pretty and flattering and the bright red color is gorgeous!
Wow, wonderful peplum. And what a heartbreaking story. I'd probably be that person who didn't know....

I've always thought all I needed to care for my heart was exercise. I'll look into that more.
ReplyDeleteLove your necklace. Cute look.
You are so right, that is why I will be rocking Red all month! I love how this outfit transitioned so well into evening.

So gorgeous, Lyddie. Every time I see this jacket I have to fight the urge to run to JCP to get it for myself. I even did an online store check and they still have it. But I'm being good. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThis red peplum with the pleated bottom is just so unique. #jealous
ReplyDeleteI wish i could see more of that beautiful peplum top -and i've said it before but i am such a fan of your hair, its so beautiful.
