Then I wore the pants to work, and none of my coworkers said anything. I was really expecting some sort of commentary, but no. I guess after six years of my fashion they are all just used to it.

I'm loving them as skinnies- they look so good on you!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great sewing job! The look great! I was expecting my boss to say something years ago when I had pink in my hair but nothing! Must have been all the wacky tights I was already wearing! And 6 years! Wow!
ReplyDeleteOh, Lyddie, you shouldn't doubt your fashion choices! These pants really are fabulous, and that is that. I've actually been searching for a pair of leopard leggings myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your co-workers didn't make fun, though. ;) Surely they wouldn't dare, or else Ali would have to come to town and lay down the law.
I love how people can completely become desensitized to things, even leopard print pants!

I would never have been able to have those in my closet for three months without wearing them - they're so fabulous! And the sewing job looks great.

You are rockin' those pants lady! So very you!
ReplyDeleteI love that you made them into skinnies! You now not only have a fab leopard coat but also fab leopard pants. Heather
ReplyDeleteYou definitely refashioned these pants for the better!! I'm sure you'll definitely get more wear out of them now that you changed them to skinnies from the bootleg/flares. Still definitely a great buy! Can't wait for the next shopping trip!
ReplyDeleteI think it was a good decision to "skinnify" those pants - they look great! Now if only I could be so lucky to find a pair like that while thrifting...
ReplyDeleteLovely as skinnies- I bet they get worn a whole lot more now! X
ReplyDeleteAw man! I hate when that happens! I love these pants as skinnies! And the sweater is great too! And the hat! I'm going to have to copy you on this one Lydia!
ReplyDeleteThese "new" skinnies look fabulous on you! Do wear them often!!

I love the pants. How lucky you are that you can do alterations yourself!
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to see how the pants looked before the transformation; however, they look perfect as skinnies!
oops....ok, now I see them as flares. I agree, they are much better as skinnies!
ReplyDeleteYou are always so lovely, my dear Lydia.

Isn't it funny how silhouettes change? 5 years ago if you told me I would be all about the tapered, skinny leg now, I have denied it, but now that's all we wear!
ReplyDeleteGreat sewing job! Love the print.
Ok, I'm obsessed with this outfit and want to be wearing it right NOW! I love how the pants turned out, they look soooo chic on you!

I much prefer these pants as skinnies. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteOoo..good choice to "skinnify" them! I think they look great as skinnies! And what a great deal on those pants! I would suggest maybe hemming the pants a little? That way they would look even more streamlined and wouldn't bunch at the ankles. Just a suggestion though :-) They don't look bad as they are! I love the wide brimmed hat too.

Maybe they've just become inured to leopard pants?
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I love them with the slouchy sweater, very California cool.
Oh man! I guess I'm the only one who liked them flared better! I admire your sewing skills, though :)
ReplyDeleteI love your pants! Gorgeous print too x
ReplyDeleteVery nice outfit. Your white sweater is so cozy and it fits perfectly with your leopard print pants. Intresting combination!

You did a fabulous job - I have to say I think that these pants are much more flattering as a slim fit. I liked them wider but LOVE them slimmer! You'll get so much wear out of them now, I am sure!
