Last year I threw myself a big party (well, big by my standards) and I made some pretty darn amazing cupcakes, but this year I'd rather someone else do the cooking.
How did you celebrate your last birthday?

i love the combination of pink and yellow. your outfit look so spring appropriate and so fresh.
ReplyDeleteas for your birthday, advanced happy birthday to you and hope you have a wonderful celebration no matter what you decide to do. i never really celebrate my birthdays, at least not in a really grand way, even the previous one, except when i turned 18 (but then it's a tradition i had to follow in my culture).
anyway, you look amazing love. have a nice weekend!

Lydia, those heels are fierce girl. Love that yellow top with denim. Looks so good. You have a lot to look forward to. My birthday this year was very low key with just close friends & family. Have a great weekend.

This is such a great outfit - casual but put-together.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! Love those necklaces together. So cute.
ReplyDeleteLast year I had dinner with my parents and boyfriend, since my birthday fell on a weekday and I was dead tired from work! Honestly didn't feel like celebrating. :(
I hope you do something fun!!

I really like this look. It's simple, but has great details and accessories.
ReplyDeleteMy last birthday was spent sitting at dance class for my daughter, lol! Hopefully your birthday falls on the weekend. Weekday birthdays suck! Heather
Happy birthday!!! My last birthday was a pretty sad affair (it was shortly before we left New Haven so it was a bit of a downer) and this year I get to celebrate next weekend by grading exams. Sigh. I'll just live vicariously through you. I should start by getting your insanely pretty necklace...

Love the bright sweater! Love brights. And the skinny leopard belt makes it less casual.
ReplyDeleteHappy early Birthday!
How about go somewhere and let everyone else deal with the food?

How exciting that your birthday is coming up!!! I usually just go out to dinner with my friends so that nobody has to do the cooking. Then if I'm in the mood I will go out to a bar or something like that, but if not I just go to a dessert place and eat sweets until like 2 in the morning with my friends. hahahaha. You are looking gorgeous Lydia!

Oooh, Happy Birthday weekend, Lyddie! Man, if I lived near you, I'd gladly bake you some cupcakes or cakes or something fun! Maybe a cookie cake with a ton of delicious wedding cake frosting? :)
ReplyDeleteAh, if only. I do hope that someone makes your food for you, though.
Last year I just stayed with my parents and brother and we celebrated at home. I haven't really had any parties with friends lately--they're all gone during the summer! Which kind of stinks, but it's okay. :)
Oh! And goodness, I adore this outfit. That light yellow sweater is just such a good piece. Such a nice, light color. And your necklace against it is perfect.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!! I hope you have a wonderful time and eat yourself into a cake and sugar coma. Seriously, I really do wish the best for you. You have been so encouraging and always there for me, thank you so much. I hope your birthday is as wonderful as you are.
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow!
ReplyDeleteThe pink too!
Love color!

So darn cute. I have to try this.
ReplyDeleteHoping that your birthday weekend is wonderful!
I love the pops of animal print! This past birthday was pretty low-key for me. My husband and I went out to dinner and stopped by a St. Patty's day party the night before and had brunch and cupcakes on the actual day.
ReplyDeleteI love that sunshiny yellow:) Cooking for your on birthday is the worst! I'm kind of thankful that my current apartment is literally too small to host anything, because it means I don't have to feel bad about not wanting to!
ReplyDeleteI love this look!

That necklace is killer. I WANT it:) Get outfit girl!
ReplyDeleteI love this easy, casual look on you - I tend to think of your style as very feminine and put together, but you wear boyfriend jeans and a simple sweater just as well as dresses :) Oh, and I just have to mention that I adore your necklace because, well, I do!
ReplyDeleteMy last birthday was pretty low-key... I flew to Berlin with a girlfriend to start a four-day trip there. The weather was miserable and we were really tired from our early flight, but we still had fun :) Someone else definitely did the cooking - cooking is not my thing at all!
xox,
Cee
Love how you made this casual look more sophisticated with your beautiful heels and envelope clutch (which is fabulous!)

Love this look on you! I am loving your 'shorter' locks as well.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you went a size up on the jeans or if you recommend getting them in your size. I love those jeans but I find that old navy always stretches about 1 size up after a few wears. Would love your advice.
Thanks!
I am loving your outfit! Those shoes are to die for and I love that big pink clutch!
