This is definitely my summer work uniform - and one that I love because it's simple and comfortable.

It's really too hot out now to wear wearing a blazer out of doors, but my office always manages to keep temps at sub zero, so the long sleeves are essential.

The problem with blogging is that seeing things on other bloggers makes me want them. Things I otherwise would have never even known existed.

When I was shopping with Meg and Christine last month, I spotted this ikat print skirt at Cinderella's Attic and knew immediately that it looked familiar. It wasn't until a bit later that I remembered I'd actually seen it on Lucy Laucht; the image had been tucked away in my inspiration folder over a year ago.

These sandals (which were a birthday gift) had been spotted on the Fashionable ESQ and promptly added to my Amazon wishlist. Shiny studded goodness - everything a summer shoe should be.

The number of times I've made purchases based on what I've seen other bloggers wearing is staggering. Or at least, I'm pretty sure it would be, if I actually went and counted.

On Target

I bought this skirt at Target, pre shopping ban, along with a few other things, because I was being very bad like that.

However, I happened to spend an exceedingly long time in Target yesterday and was very good, only buying greeting cards and other things I actually needed. Which isn't to say I did not see a dizzying array of things I would like to buy in three weeks time, such as these Sam and Libby wedges.

I procured this sailboat print cardigan via ebay months ago, but this is the first time I've worn it. I had to do right by it by wearing lots of stripes, navy and red. And what a lovely coincidence that a sailboat should be passing by as I took my photos.

The leather pencil skirt

I thrifted this leather pencil skirt months ago; for the quality, it was an absolute steal. Soft, supple leather, no visible signs of wear, and remarkably comfortable to wear and sit in for hours at work.

Yet, this is only the second time I've worn it, and I'm pretty sure my leather skirt wearing days are dwindling as the humidity level steadily rises. I'll just have to resolve to wear it more this fall, however I'm loving it mixed with the lighter neutrals and brights, it feels perfectly 'spring'.
