When I was shopping with Meg and Christine last month, I spotted this ikat print skirt at Cinderella's Attic and knew immediately that it looked familiar. It wasn't until a bit later that I remembered I'd actually seen it on Lucy Laucht; the image had been tucked away in my inspiration folder over a year ago.
These sandals (which were a birthday gift) had been spotted on the Fashionable ESQ and promptly added to my Amazon wishlist. Shiny studded goodness - everything a summer shoe should be.
The number of times I've made purchases based on what I've seen other bloggers wearing is staggering. Or at least, I'm pretty sure it would be, if I actually went and counted.

I totally hear you. I bet at least two thirds of my wardrobe has been purchases inspired by other bloggers. I've actually wondered--I wonder how much my shopping would go down if I stopped reading blogs? I actually read a stat somewhere one time that 80% of purchases were inspired by fashion blogs and online magazines. Whoa. I love your skirt and sandals, though, nonetheless. Stay strong!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love those sandals!! Love the outfit and the skirt is adorable. You look super cute!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate to wanting what other bloggers are wearing. There are just so many cute things out there. Stay strong in your shopping ban! That skirt is pretty awesome too.

Because I can't go to the stores as mentioned by the majority of the blogs I read I have to substitute but I must admit that many of my purchases are influenced by other bloggers - you're one of them Lydia :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!
I love that skirt! And the styling is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that I don't live near a Zara or an H&M or even a Gap because I think if I did, I'd shop even more than I do.
Definitely pinning this look. It's so comfy and cute, yet stylish. Love the skirt and sandals!

Oh Lyddie,I adore your necklace! There's proof that you can wear a rhinestone necklace without having to attend a wedding or fancy event of some sort. I really love that!
ReplyDeleteLet's see... I think I've bought those leopard tights you got from Kohl's and a gold chain link bracelet because of you. Also, you make me want pretty gold rings all the time, even though I would probably forget to wear them. It's totally a problem we all face.
Ikat and orange...two of my favorite things. Perfect!

I love your skirt Lydia! It's so funny when items you see on other bloggers find their way into your closet. It sometimes happens to me too which is a good reason to go on an occasional shopping hiatus like you're doing now.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute look! We are obsessed with orange and pairing denim jackets with skirts and maxi dresses.
