So much of who I am I owe to my Mother; she is in fact, the original thrifty shopper and the person who taught me to never pay full price for anything. She has also always been my favorite person to go shopping with, and someone who's opinion I value above anyone else.

ReplyDeleteMy mom's best advice to me would probably be to just do whatever feels right to you. It's very vague, but it applies to so many things and she says it a lot. :)
my mom always tells me to wear brighter lipstick!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! My mom and I have completely different taste so whatever she suggests, I do the opposite!

My mom and I have completely different styles, but we've always loved shopping together. I'd say the best advice she gave me was to start with the clearance rack!
ReplyDeleteThe best savings advice my mom ever gave me is to shop clearance and sales racks (especially off-season when they have really good deals)!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog and stunning pairings.. I love your bathing suit, so beautiful and I think you look stunning in it! :)

My Mom always told me...
ReplyDelete"Wait until you have kids.." LOL
no really, she always told me "Do what makes you happy"... and she's taught me how to be a strong person through tough and difficult times...I love my Mama!
BTW what a beautiful photo of you and your Mom!
My mom taught me to never buy clothes full priced.. Just like yours! and she is amazing and inspires me in several different ways.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lyd for the beautiful pic of us! I love shopping with you too!
ReplyDeleteThe only advice I can remember my mother giving me was when I was going on my firs date: " make sure you always have a dime with you in case you need to make a phone call" Ha,ha, guess that really dates me!
From watching her over the years. She never buys anything at full price
ReplyDeleteMy mother advocates wearing blush and lipstick to enliven the face. For those without dramatic natural coloring, I endorse her advice.
ReplyDelete"It's better to just be good, than good at something."
ReplyDeleteNever pay full price
ReplyDeleteSpend your dollars on something you love and spend your time with the people you love.
