Shortcake

Strawberry shortcake at my towns annual festival is amazing. I look forward to it every year, and being able to enjoy a fresh, local summer fruit is a great way to start the season.

I did actually plan to wear this dress specifically to coordinate with my shortcake - that is how much I love it.

    Aw! I saw these pictures appear on Flickr and was so curious to see what all this shortcake-ness was about. What a neat little festival!! :D And even better that they provide free shortcake. Strawberries are so delicious right now. I wish they were delicious year round... ah, well! WE MUST SAVOR THEM NOW.

    That is such a cute dress! We planted 1000 strawberry plants last and as they spread quickly, we now have insane amounts of strawberries ripening this week. Every day is a new strawberry dessert.
