Scalloped hems again

I typically have mixed feelings about pairing heels with shorts. In my mind, if you are going to do a heel, it should be along the lines of a chunky sandal or a wedge, maybe a bootie, but never a stiletto.

Perhaps it is because these shorts are a loose fitting chiffon, perhaps it is because the pumps are peep-toe, or perhaps it is just that I like to break my own rules, I'm wearing pumps with shorts.

    I love shorts with heels...but only as long as the booty is properly covered and you don't look like you are trying out for Pretty Woman. You did it perfectly. You balanced classy and staying cool gorgeously.

    I think those shoes work perfectly with those particular shorts -- and my thinking on shorts and heels sounds pretty much the same as yours, but the flowy cut of those and the scalloping make the pumps work.

    This definitely works! You look so feminine and chic. My boyfriend would love me in short shorts and stilettos and I always have to tell him it just isn't happening. Lol. I'll keep this look in mind though...it's a very chic take on that look.

    I actualy love heels with shorts - maybe it's just because I love heels with everything, but for many years I eschewed shorts for being too casual. And then I had the (earth shattering) realisation that I could dress them up with heels. I've never looked back. And conversative Parisians don't stare at me quite so much when I wear shorts if I have heels on :) This look is gorgeous - so delicate and feminine and yet still practicaly for a hot day.

    I love the scallop trim on the shorts, it lends them a dressier look, so I think a heel is the best choice. Your pairings are excellent, and you look gorgeous.
