Wear it now

As August races by, Fall fashion starts to infiltrate magazines, blogs, and shops. The desire to start shopping with autumn in mind almost always becomes actualized. But since it's still summer, and still hot out, it's a good idea to look for pieces that can be worn now and then transition into the cooler months.

Wallis has challenged me, and several other bloggers to do just that, and the winner (by way of Facebook votes) of the challenge will be spending two days in New York during fashion week.

This floral sheath dress is an ideal piece to transition to Fall because the cut is modest, the jersey material is thicker than a cotton, and the florals, while bright are grounded by the black dress.

Next week you will see how I will be styling the dress for Fall, and in the meantime, I hope you will take a moment and vote for me on Wallis's Facebook page!

    I struggle so much with this time of the year. I want to keep the long days and short sleeves but also want jeans and to be able to wear a burgundy hat. I cannot wait to see how you rock this dress again!

    I think this dress is an absolute knock out, espceially paired with that green clutch. The print is so bold and fantastic, however, this is very much a summer attire. I would pair with a cardigan or add another slight layer to transition into fall. Either way, you look stunning!

    This is the perfect seasonal transition dress - it's light enough to just throw on, so to speak, in the last days of summer with cute sandals and sunnies, but once fall comes, you'll be able to wear it with tights, blazers and boots and look equally at home. I can't wait to see how you style it for fall, but in the meantime, you definitely have my vote :)
