It was ridiculously windy when I took these photos, and it was not working out for my hair, unless "giant frizz ball" is in these days. I often see models rocking the messy hair, but I feel like it's the styled kind of messy, and not the wind ravaged natural look I've got going on here.

So good to see you in gorgeous summer colours while it's freezing cold and miserable weather over here in Germany!
ReplyDeleteI always said emerald/mint green is the perfect colour for you but so is orange. You look gorgeous!

Wind can be a blogger's worst enemy, I think - at least when it's pouring rain you know there's no hope of getting photos, and don't bother to try. But when it's windy, you feel hopeful, like you might be able to make it work... and it always ends in frustration. Although I must say I think these photos turned out really well. We are all our own worst critics - I never like artfully messy hair on myself, either, but when I see it on others (you included), I think it looks great! And you're right about the colour, I think the green of your sweater brings out the orange tones in your dress. The colour combination is lovely.

Your hair looks so gorgeous, I'm so jealous! Your dress does look like that tricky orange that can look red. I've been having issues with dark navy versus black lately.
ReplyDeleteIt totally looks orange and you look gorgeous with your wind blown hair! I'm always amazed at models who can make curly frizzy hair look great . . . . I've yet to master that. I never thought to combine orange and mint but it is a stellar pair!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me with dissing your hair? I wish my locks looked like this every day! Hottie!
ReplyDeletelove the color combo, you look beautiful

Oh wind! The other day Andrew and I were taking photos and it was SOOOO windy but the moment we stopped it was calm. I feel your pain, wind just does not work for outfit photos!
ReplyDeletehehehe, I love how you always mention that YES, this dress is orange, not red. It's so hard to photograph orange! It stinks when cream turns out white, too. The difficulty of lighting in photography... aaah.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm imaging orange and aqua and I love it. Very refreshing, yep! I think I'm always going to love that r--orange dress of yours, Lyddie!
How did I miss commenting on this?! Anywayyy, I love that dress, every detail is so perfect! Too bad it would be horrible on me :p
