Always the vest

I've been getting a lot of use out of this quilted leather vest, and I think it may be one of my favorite secondhand finds. Not only does it keep me warm, it's such a fun layering piece and adds lots of texture and shine to what otherwise might be a nice, but dull outfit.

    I wish my go-to piece were as glamourous as yours! I'm always cold, which is part of the reason I moved to the Pacific Northwest. But we've had an unseasonably cold month and so I've spent most of my time wearing one of two heavy turtleneck sweaters that I bought at H&M in 2009. They've held up surprisingly well considering their age and pricepoint, but they are just plain knit sweaters. Maybe I need a quilted leather vest in my life!

    I bought a faux-leather vest a little impulsively during a Shopbop sale and haven't figured out many ways to use it. I like the idea of using it to dress down more classic silhouettes, like you did here!

    That vest is a great find. I find myself reaching for all my fur vests lately because lets face it, not only do they add intrest to an otherwise dull outfit but a also add a whole lot of much needed WARMTH!! ps those boots are awesome!

    Hmmm... a go-to piece... I think for me that's going to be my big black sweater that's shorter in the front and longer in the black. It's so stretchy and easy to throw on top of anything because of its length! Ah, I wish I had it in every color.
