While I've bought more than my fair share of Hallmark cards, I prefer to find cards that are more unique, like this hand drawn one from Eternal Girl's etsy shop. Julia creates not just greeting cards, but jewelry as well, all with symbolic, henna inspired designs. Julia says the connection to people through her creations is large part of what inspires her, and it is that same feeling that has resulted in my love of greeting cards.
And also, they are pretty.
Today's post is also a special collaboration with Megan from Closet Fashionista. My first CT blogger friend, we've been so fortunate to share many blogging experiences together! While I'm showing off the beautiful Pinwheel Greeting Card, Meg is showcasing an adorable Harry Potter pendant, so be sure and visit her blog as well!

You are the only person I know who would look so pretty while writing a card. Also, I love the timing of this post considering our emails last night! These are so tempting to purchase!
ReplyDeleteJulia is so talented, amazing creations! I love stationary, I buy so many cards and envelopes, bad thing is I never know what to write! lol I think traditional mail is so mmm romantic ha ha I once received some postals from a bf when he was in Europe and it was such a nice gesture. Love that grid print dress, so classy!

Love this outfit, you look so gorgeous. That checkered dress is a dream.
ReplyDeleteI also love cards, thank you cards, notes, you name it! I think they're so personable and so pretty. Love these cards.
ReplyDeleteReceiving a hand written note in the mail is so much more special! You look so sophisticated in the mix of black and white prints.

I am loving the pattern mixing with your dress and coat! You look so chic! Gorgeous ring, too!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love a handwritten note as well :) I actually need some new stationery so I'll definitely be checking out this shop. I really love your graphic black and white dress too!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the dress, belt and the pattern mix brought in by that fab houndstooth coat.
ReplyDeleteI love writing, as in handwriting, there is something magical and individual about just writing on paper.
I like to place my head sideways on the desk and watch the ink flow as the pen rolls... yeah, i told you i was weird.
The card design is really pretty. Looks like a lot of thought, time and effort went into it!
ReplyDeleteThere really isn't a way to equate the feeling of a good ole fashioned hand written card or letter in the mail. Good for you for keeping the tradition going! I love your black and white look today too!
ReplyDeleteGetting mail has always been the highlight of my day, ever since I was little - the thing I was most excited about when I moved out was having my own mailbox.(My mom also gets excited about mail, we often bickered over whose turn it was to check it on a given day.) It's a shame people don't send more mail, a card is the quickest way to brighten someone's day, especially when it's a cute one. The one you sent me at Christmas was so lovely and this one is just fabulous, too! Julie is obviously very talented.

Ooo, her cards are gorgeous! And that's definitely a nice tradition to keep up. I'm great at sending cards to people of older generations, but for some reason never seem to send them to my friends. I need to work on that!
ReplyDeleteThe mix of black and white prints is great.
ReplyDeleteThat card is so pretty, and I'm loving the black and white look!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of you writing a card and the mix of black and white prints :)

AW THIS POST MAKES ME GO SQUEE INSIDE. I love that you made such a cute post out of writing and mailing the card. Especially the picture of you physically placing the card in the mailbox. #1 fashion blogger Lydia Abate. :D
ReplyDeleteLove that coat, especially with that dress. Augh! I always feel like when I wear black and white I'm so dull, but this is something I would snatch up in an instant. You find the best patterns.

ReplyDeletegorgeous dress.. you always look so fashionable.. so gorgeous!! and it IS always nice getting a card in the mail these days, its becoming an old fashioned thing since hardly anyone seems to appreciate it much these days. I love that you are taking the time to touch the hearts of your friends by doing this!!
ReplyDeleteJodi
I love hand written cards/stationary too...although I don't really send out cards. That was one of my new year's resolutions last year but sadly I didn't keep it! haha...
