Does it need a menswear element to work?
Can it be preppy?
Can I wear it with a skirt?
Does it go with Fair Isle?
If you happen to have any ball cap inspiration, feel free to send it my way.

Love the tassels on your belt! And you're rocking the baseball cap... :).
ReplyDeleteI think you can wear it with pretty much anything! Except maybe a gown ;)
ReplyDeleteThat belt is so cute

Ehh, are there rules with caps? I do love the print of your fair isle sweater too!

Super cute look! I can't fit most caps/hats so no styling ideas, sorry! You did an awesome job. :)
ReplyDeleteThat hat looks adorable. I love the ring too. I like to wear baseball hats with girly things like sequins or full skirts.
ReplyDeleteThe cap definitely works with this outfit! It's a great casual touch to the cozy fair isle sweater!

As someone who is totally unable to pull off hats (seriously, it's awful), I think you're nailing it!

You can pull this cute head gear off!

I think there are no rules for caps, they are fun and I'm sure you can rock them in so many ways like you did here with this cute cardi!

At this point, my ball cap inspiration is you! I would never have thought to pair a cap with a fair isle sweater but the combination works so well. I don't think you need another menswear element in your look to pull it off - the contrast here is beautiful.
ReplyDeletexox,
Cee
In my book, it works !
ReplyDeleteLove the cap! It looks great on you. Yes it goes with Fair Isle, yes it can be preppy, and it would be sooo cute with a skirt!! Love that sweater and your Ona bag.

Wow, loving that sweater!!! It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteReally love this look. I wore a cap in my latest post too. I like wearing hats - it adds a little something extra to an outfit.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Great bag too!

I LOVE THIS! I don't think it has to always be a menswear look. In fact, I kind of like it with super feminine and edgy looks with pencil skirts. I LOVE this one outfit I saw that has a pencil skirt, tie and a baseball cap!
ReplyDeleteI really love all of the elements of this outfit
ReplyDeleteBrett
I like the combination of fair isle and nautical. I don't think baseball caps need a menswear element to it; there are a lot of caps lately that have a bunch of floral prints and other embellishments on them that really stray from the usual image of baseball caps. Oh and the tassel on your belt is so cute. :P

I feel like a pop of neon somewhere would go well with a cap. I have no idea where, but just... something that's a little bit of neon. Yes, I know, I am so much help. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you did great wearing it here! Heck, I think caps go with pretty much everything.
Love the whole ensemble:-) beautiful colors:-)
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous dear, that sweater is beautiful and the cap goes well with the outfit!!

I really love how you mixed the hat with the fair isle sweater. You look fabulous on this combo!
ReplyDeleteLove that pretty sweater and the awesome tassel belt!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the ball cap... I like it on other people, but I just don't know how to wear it myself. It's been huge on college campuses for a while (I work on one) but they are usually rocking it with a baggy t-shirt and leggings. So all that to say - I have no idea how to wear it normally. I do think it looks great with what you are wearing though!
Beautiful look! I adore your bag!
ReplyDeleteYou are working the sporty preppy look just fine with that hat. I love it!

I love your belt and the bracelets! Love how you combined the sweater with the hat!

You look so cute in the cap! I love with with the fair isle. I don't think I could pull it off, but I'd probably wear it with a slouchy sweater, shorts and Converse sneakers in the spring. (Or maybe I just think everything is great in warm weather!)
ReplyDeleteA lot of what I see (mostly on Pinterest) is the cap used with menswear pieces, but I totally think it works with a preppy look like this! After all, preppy is all about that old Americana feel and baseball caps tie into that quite nicely. :)
